About this property

Spacious 3 bedroom for outdoor getaway, gateway to western U.P. Adventures

Come enjoy year round fun on our private 30 acres with a pond. This is a basement unit is within our permanent residence. You have a private entrance to do as you wish.
We are within close access to hiking,biking,cross country/downhill skiing,ORV& snowmobile trails.
The unit has 3 fully furnished bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has queen bed and bedroom 2 has a full bed and a twin bed, bedroom 3 has two twin beds (all linens provided)
Fully equipped kitchen including stove-oven,microwave,refrigerator,coffee maker, cookware,utensils,crockpot
Full bathroom with standup shower,sink,toilet and all bath linens provided.
Fully furnished living room-2 couches,love seat, big screen TV with Direct TV, DVD and wood fired fireplace for chilly nights. WiFi included
Beautiful Sunday Lake is located 1 mile away and offers paved walking/biking trail, beach,playground and spectacular sunsets. Kayak rentals available on the beach. Stop by the visitors center next to the stoplight to find more info on area attractions.
We are a pet friendly unit to pets that are well mannered, house broken and get along with others. We have a boxer puppy who is very friendly.
Enjoy a relaxing evening sitting around the fire pit, watching the abundant wildlife that the U.P. has to offer

Presque Isle Park (western end of the porkies) is located 16 miles up county road 519

Lake of the clouds/ porkies visitor center (eastern end of porkies) is located 27 miles up county road 519 and at the end of south boundary road

Black River Harbor- enjoy the numerous waterfalls and sand beach area in the black river harbor area. 20 miles

Copper Peak- take the adventure ride to breath taking views on top of the worlds biggest ski flying jump. 15 miles

Little Girls Point- Walk the sand shores of Lake Superior at little girls point. This area is an excellent place for beachcombing with little or no other people around to bother you. 25 miles

Ottawa National Forest (Henry Lake area) backwoods kayakers/explores dream. Enjoy numerous small lakes filled with pan fish and large mouth bass or just enjoy the quiet nature surrounding this national forest area. 10 miles

Winter Wonderland

Had a great weekend stay. Close to the ski hills and nicely secluded. Quiet and peaceful with alot of fun amenities. Good communication and helpful. We will be back again.

Quiet Stay

My daughter and I came to rockhound and hike with our dogs. We spoke to the owner on the phone when we arrived and he was so friendly, gave us instructions and dinner options. The unit was very spacious although we only used 1bedroom. It was exactly as described and the dogs had plenty of room to run outside . We would definitely stay here again!!

Clean, quiet, and beautiful yard

We appreciated the large and beautiful yard for our Aussie to play in. The owner clearly enjoys hunting, and the furnishings reflect that passion. The unit is clean, quiet, and comfortable with many activities (pool table, 2 foosball tables, large TV, fireplace, board games). All-in-all a pleasant stay.

Great stay out in the country

The place was clean and was very large. Had 2 bedrooms that we didn't need. It is out in the country and the basement of a residence. We didn't hear too much from upstairs except for the footsteps once in awhile. We let Clintopn know that the ceiling in the main bedroom was wet and he responded right away even though they were gone for a few days. Would try to stay there again if planning a vacation in that part of the UP.

My wife and I decided to celebrate our 25th anniversary by staying in the UP. This was a great stay! Nice accommodations! Pool table, dart board, foosball, sound system….and clean. Quiet, contemplative….we look forward to staying again!

Pleasant Place in the UP

Although the place is the lower level of a home, it has a private entrance and 3 nice bedrooms. There is an open concept living room with a fireplace, big screen TV, and a pool table; the kitchen is part of a large bar, allowing ample space for meal prep; the dining room has seating for 8. There is a fire pit, small lake, and large backyard. We brought 3 small dogs that enjoyed the yard and had ample viewing from windows and a nice sliding door. The owners were nothing but friendly and very accommodating. This was our second stay here.
