Wonderfully located condo with restaurants and bars just across the street and a 1 mile walk to the beach.
One queen bed (linen service not provided), a table for two and a love seat.

Lots of closet and drawer space for extended stay. You'll have a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, plates, glasses, utensils, iron, hair dryer provided. Located at the foot of the draw bridge.
Biking and running trails nearby along with a kayak launch.

Linens and towels are not provided so please bring queen sized sheets and whatever towels you'll need.

Family visit
Place is dated although reasonably clean. Need to bring own linens which would be a problem for a vacation & not a family visit that could provide linens.Bathroom light over sink would not turn on.Temperature control was frustrating-main thermostat did not control heat (not warm enough to test AC). Window unit was good first night but after the place got warmed up it was way too hot no matter what temperature it was set at.

This is the perfect rental if you just need a place to crash for a week. The host was phenomenal at responding to my questions and was very thorough in explaining all the little things we should know. She even included restaurant recommendations anddirections

I don’t mind not updated but I want it clean with the basics. What are VRBO standards?
I was in town as an artist for an event. Positives: Hot water, refrigerator Negatives: Not clean. The faded bedspread had some blood stains, dirt//dust balls in all the corners. The owner had warned me that the ceiling fan did not work, so I brought my own table fan. Based on some photos of the property of The Waterway, I thought I was getting a small kitchenette…Not so. A small microwave with only one working setting. There was a collection of various mismatched eating utensils, melamine plates and bowls ( THE BOWLS LOOKED LIKED THEY WERE BURNED IN THE MICROWAVE). There were 2 old coffee cups, one I wouldn’t use because it felt like there was plastic melted inside of it. After the first day, I found some ceramic plates and 2 cereal/soup bowls that were crusty in a dresser drawer in the bathroom sink area. All the utensils and “dish ware” had a layer of something on them. There wasn’t any dish soap or a clean sponge to wash kitchenware. I used my hand towel to wash any kitchenware before and after use. Fortunately, I brought my own dish soap. Not sure the last time a mop was taken to the floor either because any water drops showed a bit of dirt. I did not remove my sandals ever in this room. everything in this place was pretty worn out. Like I said, Old is fine, but you need to offer basics and CLEANLINESS!

The Honey Hole
Tho place was great for me. I love to fish and is located right across the street from the Intercoastal Waterway. I caught Flounder, Redfish, Bluefish Black Sea Bass and many other variatiies of fish. I’ll be coming back,God willing.

New roof
The roof was being replaced. Dirt covering furniture. Banging loudly above my room. This room should have been removed from VRBO this week. The lodge was empty apart from me. The owner of this room should not have rented this week.. I would like a full refund.

Cute Condo, Great Location
This is a very cute condo in a great location. Unfortunately, there are two reasons which limit my rating to 3 stars. First, this place has a bug problem (primarily ants). Second no WIFI access. The property description / instructions say to ask the front office for the WIFI password. When we asked we were told since this property was not managed by the front desk company, they could not share the password. So we had no internet access for our stay. I hope that these issues can be resolved. On the up side, this property has a microwave and refrigerator which I did not see listed in the description. Nice surprise.

Not the cleanest...
This is a great location. The room was adequate for two people, but it is just a motel room with a loveseat, table, and chairs crammed in to make it more cramped than it needed to be. It was reasonably priced , so I wasn't expecting any more space for the money. What I was expecting was cleanliness. That was our only problem with the place. When we arrived we found old Sushi left in the refrigerator, a dust build up of about a quarter inch on the ceiling fan, and a dirty pair of underwear under the headboard of the bed. When I contacted the owner she stated she lived about 4 hours away in Winston-Salem and "it's hard to find good help in the area." I was hoping she would offer to send someone to clean the room. Instead, she offered to "help us out with a meal at The Bridge Tender." We decided to take her up on the offer. The meal at The Bridge Tender was lovely, and the credit Carol provided nearly covered the entire tip. Great rate, great location, I'm not telling you not to stay here, just that I'll choose differently next trip to Wrightsville Beach.

Cleanliness was a problem
All linens we tattered, stained and musty smelling. Only 2 towels for 4 days 2 guests. Several lights did not work. Had to put all food in microwave or fridge to hide from ants/roaches. Fridge did not stay cool. Milk went bad. Location great room fine justs need a good cleaning.

Our daughter graduated from UNCW and we spent the weekend . Everything was perfect...centrally located, room was comfortable ,with all amenities. Would recommend to visit.
