Welcome to The Ranch, your family and dog-friendly home away from home in Stowe, VT. This picturesque property is set on 7 acres nestled into the trees and overlooking a pond. Situated just minutes away from the Historic Village of Stowe and Stowe Mountain Resort, this home is the perfect family retreat inviting both relaxation and adventure.
A cozy mountain home in a peaceful and natural setting, the home is a very special place to connect with family and/or friends and enjoy the Stowe area.
The space
The home does not feel pretentious or fancy - but is the perfect mix of an inviting family-friendly space and welcoming and cozy Vermont getaway.
The main floor has had many new renovations including an all new entry way and 'great room' including all new kitchen appliances and countertops and newly refinished flooring... it feels very fresh!
The house setting is among the most special pieces of the story. Nestled in the woods, the home is perched above a pond full of wildlife and the hills surrounding the house seem to hug the home while extending an invitation to explore at the same time.
There is a very special energy here... we hope you'll feel it too.
Guest access
The home is all yours for your time in Stowe with us, and you will have access via a keypad code at the entry.
There is an apartment attached to the home. There is only one small shared wall that is in the entryway/mudroom of the home.
The outdoor space is yours to use in full although we do ask the guests be mindful of others staying in the apartment and just not spend time around their outdoor living space, which is quite minimal comparatively. The only potential interaction possibility would be in the driveway.
Other things to note
The barn has nothing of any use except in its quaint visual setting on the property - and is used by the homeowner for storage - so we ask guests to please respect that space and stay out of it.

My name is Courtney, I’m a native Vermonter who left for 15 years of adventures in the West and came back to settle into my home state.
My little guy, Avery, and I live in Stowe, which we LOVE, and split time between there and our home in Taos, NM. Apparently we love our mountain towns.
I am a photographer who also owns a custom frame shop in Stowe - so you may see some fun local art in the space during your visit.

Why they chose this property
The location of the house and its setting were one of the biggest draws for us when buying the home. It is nestled into the woods down a dirt road, sitting with a view of a pond below. We are only 6 miles from the ski resort and 1-3 miles from all of the amenities that the Stowe Mountain Road and Historic Village offer. You feel like you're worlds away from it all but you're just a hop skip and jump away from everything. On certain Summer evenings as well as NYE our dining room and deck area offers a front row seat to a seemingly private fireworks show that the Trapp Family Lodge puts on.... it's a very special treat.
What makes this property unique
Aside from the bucolic setting and great proximity to everything in the town of Stowe we love to host guests with pets. The home is a fantastic spot to gather your family, friends, and 4 legged family members while on adventure to the town of Stowe. There is a very special feel in the great room of the home which opens up to the large deck... just a lovely space to gather all together.
