This darling cabin is a true mountain getaway. Maintaining Old Tahoe charm with natural wood décor throughout. Plenty of space for everyone with comfortable great room, country kitchen with built-in dining area, spacious guest rooms and master suite. Enjoy the Tahoe seasons on the sunny front deck or back deck with hot tub overlooking a fenced back yard. Property borders Tahoe Conservancy land in rear for extra privacy. Short walk to Chambers Landing beach and restaurant. Close to Homewood in winter.

Ed Z’Berg – Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen, and juniper. Another attraction is the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion (also known as Pine Lodge), a summer home built in 1903. Winter visitors to the park will find over 20 kilometers of marked cross country ski trails and a heated restroom in the General Creek campground.

D.L. Bliss State Park is open to vehicular traffic in the summer, where you can enjoy swimming or scuba diving in the crystal clear water of Lake Tahoe, picnicking, relaxing on the warm sand of Lester Beach or Calawee Cove, and access to hiking the Rubicon Trail, Lighthouse Trail, and Balancing Rock Trail. Lester Beach is a popular location to launch your kayak, paddleboard, or canoe.

You won’t want to miss the icon of Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay, a short drive away. Emerald Bay State Park boasts 360-degree picturesque views that encompass Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Eagle Falls, and Vikingsholm Castle.

Just a few miles down the road you’ll find Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. The Magical West Shore has great options for whatever you fancy: snowshoeing, snowboarding, downhill or cross-country skiing, sledding, and more!

Interested dining options? We recommend the Fire Sign Cafe for breakfast and lunch. The local market is convenient for a quick stop and there are two restaurants that are close that are sure to please: Dog and Bear and Cult Burger .

To experience all the gambling and nightlife that the Lake Tahoe offers, South Lake Tahoe/Stateline is about a 30-minute drive.

Really exceeded expectations

Traveling with little ones is rough. This property made it significantly less rough and had something for all of us — surprisingly comfortable beds, thoughtful inclusion of an infant / toddler room with a crib (with board books to read), and a fun loft with a couch for the young kids to read / board game in their own space. Backyard was big enough to play in the snow, and the ?greenbelt? outside of the back gate was a fun place for snowball fights. Quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors walking the street intermittently, and the pathway to house had been rocksalted so we didn’t slip on arrival. More accommodating and comfortable than we expected for the price. Thank you so much!

Winter getaway

We stayed at this property over a long weekend. It was easy to access, well stocked and clean. The WiFi and tv worked well. My husband, myself and our adult children had plenty of room. We requested early checkin and were accommodated. The property manager was very responsive. The only issue was that the downstairs bathroom door came off the track several times making it difficult to close. The upstairs bathroom didn’t have a door. Which wasn’t ideal. All in all we would stay here again.
