About this property

New Luxury Forest Lake House - Privacy & Nature

Escape to a luxurious, serene retreat on a secluded clean forest lake. This all-wood cabin, with soaring cathedral ceilings, is impeccably clean and cozy. Enjoy stunning water views and the peace of the Maine woods, yet remain close to city conveniences. The private dock, 2 kayaks, and pristine waters are perfect for swimming or fishing. With a 3,000-acre wildlife sanctuary across the lake and only 3 families with lake access, privacy and a deep connection to nature are guaranteed. You'll enjoy 1.5 acres of private space, stretching from the driveway to the white shed.

Enter your secluded 2-bedroom house through a spacious screened porch, offering serene views of the lake and forest. It's the perfect spot for morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine with friends.

Step inside to a large living area with cathedral ceilings, all-natural wood finishes, and a cozy atmosphere. The space includes a dining area and a well-stocked kitchen with new appliances, including a dishwasher and an espresso maker with coffee pods. Relax in the living area, which features a futon that converts to a full-size bed and a charming cast-iron wood stove, with firewood provided.

The first floor includes a cozy bedroom with a full-size bed, built-in storage, and a window seat, as well as a large bathroom equipped with a modern, oversized washer and dryer. Upstairs, you'll find a spacious all-natural wood bedroom with cathedral ceilings, an oversized closet, and a twin trundle bed under the main double bed.

For your convenience, trash disposal is located in the green shed bordering the house. Please ensure all garbage is bagged and placed in lidded containers lined with black contractor bags.

Convenient location

Nice little camp on a pond just off of the main road (Rt. 17). Convenient to both Gardiner and Augusta. House seemed brand new - mini-splits in both bedrooms and the living room, big bathroom with shower with good pressure, Roku TV, etc... Road getting in was not great, especially after some snow, but as long as you have a decent vehicle, it's fine. Nice lake views on the west side of the house - would love to come back sometime in the summer to go boating, swimming, etc...

What makes this property unique

We are on the shores of a clean, secluded, unpolluted lake that’s about 1 mile long. There’s a 3,000 acre state-owned land of a wildlife sanctuary on the other side of the lake. We are one of only 3 families that have lake access along that 1-mile stretch. Lake is great for swimming, kayaking and fishing including winter ice fishing
We provide 2 kayaks. No motor boats allowed - the lake has to stay unpolluted.
