The home is spacious and comfortable. You'll never want to leave.

The house boasts of a heated pool, three large bedrooms, fully-furnished basement, sizeable porch, and spacious backyard, with a pool, deck and fenced-in yard. It also has plenty of common space to relax, play games, dine with friends and family, or simply unwind and read a book.

Serenity is approx. a mile from town center and the Vineyard Haven ferry. Parking is available on site for up to two cars.

Great House & Location

Everything about our stay was great. We arrived early and I texted the owner to see if we could check in early while in the ferry on a Sunday afternoon. She got right back to us letting us know if was fine. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for cooking during a pandemic, plenty of room and equipped very well. The back deck and yard were wonderful for early evenings in enjoying a few cocktails. The fire pit was the best for after dinner s’mores and conversations. The owner also gave us recommendations for beaches nearby which did not disappoint. The island was just the change of pace that we all needed having been couped up in our own houses for months. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Great place to stay!

Beautiful home. Clean, well equipped, and beautifully decorated. Owner was very helpful and was always quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone traveling to the area.

Great House, Amazing Host

We rented this house with 8 guests for a wedding. It was fantastic! Plenty of room for all of us and Asha was extremely responsive and made our stay very easy! Will definitely come back for our next trip to the vineyard!

Our Week of Serenity

We vacationed at “A Piece of Serenity” for a week during August 2019 and had a wonderful time enjoying the comforts of your home. The house’s location is very convenient to downtown Vineyard Haven and close to the ferry terminal. It’s approximately 10-15 minutes from Oaks Bluffs and the many historical sites on the Island. The layout of the house is lovely and it has wonderful accommodations. The living room is comfortable and great for engaging in conversations and watching television. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything that you would need and can imagine. The house is air-conditioned and the bedrooms are spacious. The finished basement is a great area for relaxing and entertaining. The front porch and deck are great places to sip your morning coffee or have an evening cocktail. The house embodies the Martha Vineyard spirt. We look forward to renting the house again next year!

Helpful details about this stay for future visitors

Overall the house and grounds were very nice. I was disappointed with lack of clear detail on location and the difficulty in getting a car over to the Island. A car is really essential when staying here or even elsewhere on the island as there is a lot to see but its very spread out. It should be noted that booking a ferry with a car should be done several months in advance or even before you book your stay as this is non-refundable. The house is definitely off the "beaten path." ( It is off a very bumpy road, and the area was not very pristine). This house was the nicest on the block. House does not really come with bikes that you can use. You will need to rent bikes to tour the island or to get to the closet beach or town. And finally, the basement which has a pullout sofa and a futon was so musty from moisture that it really was not useable for sleeping.

The first impression sometimes can be the last! We were very impressed! Loved it!!

This is a very lovely home! My husband and I and our two children were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We even brought along our 10 year old Carin Terreier Max! It was a great feeling for my family and I to walk in to this home and instantly feel as if we were home. Every room in this house was exceptionally clean. We all can tell that a lot of love went in to this home. This home is stocked with amenities and updated appliances. I mean stocked! We wanted for nothing! Literally nothing! The backyard was spacious, very well maintained and manicured. The location of this home was perfect! Far enough away from the hustle and bustle, but in very close proximity to all the action and beaches. It was a sad day when the family and I had to leave. We really enjoyed staying at this rental property. I can't say enough of good things about Asha the owner, she was God sent! She's accommodating, prompt and overall a good person. I can tell from the email communication we had from beginning to end. I know we found the perfect location on Martha's Vineyard for years to come! Thank you Asha, you made a special occasion very special and memorable!
