Let our new dream rental & family cottage be to your enjoyment! Are you seeking lots of opportunities for fun at the lake? You'll love the onsite boats and kayaks available for use, lower level theater area, streaming-TV channels, foosball table, fire pit, yard games, and proximity to well known trails for snowmobiling and ATV riding, local events, and attractions. You’ll be 1 Mile from Big O ORV & Snowmobile trails. You'll appreciate everything that lake life has to offer!
You’ll enter through the keyless entry into the open living space that flows into the fully equipped kitchen. Gather around the solid wood dining table, which seats 6 and enjoy your morning coffee (and lake views) from the coffee bar in the dining space. The wood tones and cozy cottage accents create a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere throughout the unit. From the living or dining area sliders, head out onto the large deck, with abundant relaxing seating and festive string lights. Cook and dine in this delightful outdoor space using the patio table and grill provided. You’ll discover yard games off of the lower deck to play in the yard, along with a firepit on the beach with all the s’more fixings included. Back inside, chill out in the comfortable, light-drenched living room with its 58” TV that streams many services including Hulu, Disney, Netflix, and Peacock or feel free to battle it out on the retro Nintendo system.
Restful bedroom options on the main level include 2 queen bedrooms, each with their own Roku televisions. The spacious loft area boasts two more queen size beds.
Check out the fun zone on the lower level. You’ll love viewing movies, sports, and all your favorite content in the theatre area with a 100” projector above the electric fireplace for those off-peak brisk nights. A foosball table adds to the fun and a cozy reading nook awaits for a book enthusiast's comfort. Play games to your heart’s content in the game area, featuring a selection of games and game table. We have had an unforgettable time at the Basford cottage in making forever memories. From surprising our four boys with the new place on Christmas to our engagement overlooking our beloved lake! We are ecstatic to be able to share this amazing home with you and your families. This place is more than a home, it's been a big goal and an even bigger dream of mine. When our basement area presented us with an unexpected wet disaster shortly after purchasing in November 2023, it quickly turned in to a beautiful blessing in disguise. With a lot of teamwork, good ideas and great people by our side, I was able to envision a fresh start and let my creativity shine through to create a completely remodeled space to enjoy for every season. We crave our warm summertime's and I've personally fallen in love with the off season times at the cottage too. The brisk fall mornings and lovely views of winter out of the welcoming double sliders and sun bathed space make you feel even more cozy in front of the fireplace. A space that's just begging you to scroll down the projector and watch a good holiday movie from the comfortable furniture and a charming reading nook that inspires.
Celebrating an anniversary or birthday? Enjoy complimentary wine from the beverage fridge in the wet bar and toast to your new adventures. I know many of us adore the up north of our great lake state. I am no exception! The area definitely has the up north charm with the close lake community feel. With the adorable ice cream shop and convenient store in walking distance, it's easy to get caught up in neighborly conversation and kind folk recommendations about the area everyone loves to reside in. It's a safe haven for our kids and truly is a 'help thy neighbor' kind of place!

It's been very loved on and cared for throughout its time here. Many well thought out updates to the entire home, both interior and exterior. It truly holds the homey, cozy cottage feel with it's modern touch.
