The spacious, covered porch offers ample seating for outdoor relaxation and features a ramp for effortless access. The parking area at this retreat can accommodate a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, trailers, and boats.

This location is perfect for any outdoor motorsport enthusiast. With options ranging from Jeeps to side-by-sides, dual sports, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and four-wheelers, there's something for everyone to power through Michigan's wilderness! There's no need to haul your vehicles to one of the 13 nearby designated trailheads that connect to the vast offroad trail system. Instead, guests can unload their equipment on the property and legally access the local gas station before embarking on over 150 miles of connected ORV and groomed snowmobile trails within the Huron National Forest. Riders can spend days exploring various trails in South Branch, Long Lake, Mac Lake, Mio, Luzerne, Rose City, St. Helen, and the surrounding areas.

Just a quarter-mile from the property, you'll discover a Dollar General Store, gas station, laundromat, children's playgrounds, basketball courts, and notably, the expansive and serene Rifle River Recreation Area. Spanning roughly 2,200 acres of state land closed to ORVs, it offers a tranquil escape into nature's quiet beauty. It's an essential visit for those who love hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and wildlife observation. The park brims with animals in their natural setting, from Devoe Lake's resident loon family to multitudes of whitetail deer, ruffed grouse, woodcock, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, beaver, muskrat, otter, and a plethora of other creatures, providing endless entertainment for any wildlife enthusiast.

The recreation area boasts five lush lakes dispersed across its land, offering visitors stunning views from designated high points along the water's edge. In addition to these lakes, the park encompasses stretches of the Rifle River winding from the entrance to the rear. These waters provide fishermen with the perpetual thrill of pursuing brook trout, brown trout, steelhead, and rainbow trout in the river, as well as lake trout, northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass, perch, and panfish inhabiting the five lakes. With motorized boats banned within the park, anglers are assured of fruitful and unforgettable fishing experiences, thanks to lower fishing pressure and pristine aquatic environments.
Beach enthusiasts and sunbathers will adore the pristine shores offered by the recreational area at Grousehaven Lake and Devoe Lake. The delightful beaches reach the pinnacle of excellence with the sight of some of the clearest and most pristine blue waters available in the magnificent state of Michigan.

As the weather cools, guests can take in some of Michigan's most stunning views. The state's vibrant autumn colors are on full display, and a leisurely drive through the Maltby Hills offers a picturesque color tour.

A mere 10-minute drive grants hunters entry to the vast expanses of state and public hunting lands within the Rifle River Recreation Area and the Huron National Forest. This property serves as an ideal base camp for hunting a variety of game, including deer, small game, bear, waterfowl, and predators.

Also within walking distance of the property, you'll find Sunrise Cafe, a local eatery known for its friendly staff and delectable home-cooked breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

The property provides ample space, both inside and outside, for enjoyable gatherings with family and friends, reunions, card parties, quilting groups, and more.
