I never leave a bad review but this experience was unacceptable
Im the kind of person that will not leave a bad regardless bet the way that the host handled our reservation was unacceptable. I use Vrbo for most of my trips and company housing. Our check in time was at 4 o’clock, but we had made a long drive after work and got in that evening. I could not find a code to get in. We usually get sent a code the day before or the morning of and there was not one. I spent a lot of time trying to contact the host both by phone and text message. Could not get in to and had to wait for a long time. Finally was able to get a hold of a person with Vrbo after several attempts of him trying to find our code to get in. We finally were able to get in.We walked into the rental that had not been cleaned with beds unmade and towels and shower floor and trash out. Again, tried to get a hold of the host. Mind you now it is very late with a very early morning competition. I them we were canceling due to their conditions. Had to go out and get a hotel.We did not stay there and had to relocate. We ended up paying a lot of money due to trying to get something in the same area at such a late notice.Tried to get a refund and was denied. Very disappointed in our host and VRBO for not handling this better.Cant believe they didn’t do the right thing by refunding our money. This was totally the host fault !
