The cabin is in a beautiful area. With nice trails to walk and a lake to sit by. Sheryl the manager was very nice. Met us when we arrived and was very attentive. We went in November so I am looking forward to going back in the warmer months to be able to enjoy the outdoors more.and
I dont want totally bash this place, we have stayed before and was great! THIS time we had a bed with bed bugs all over. We didn't notice them till the morning after when my son woke up all bit up. It was horrible!
We loved our visit! We were in town doing the Fall Creek Falls triathlon and this was a perfect place to relax before and after. Ample space for the 3 adults that stayed here & our 2 dogs. We loved the screened in porch & walking trail around the lake.
Cabin was in a tucked away, secluded wooden area with about 5 others. It has a screened in porch for gaming, eating, reading, napping, or relaxing. There was plenty of acreage to walk/hike on as well as a lake. In addition, it is only about 7 miles to Fall Creek Falls State Park. Very quiet, peaceful stay for us.
We enjoyed our stay here. We were there for 3 days and would have loved to stay longer. The outdoor porch was relaxing as well as the pond and outdoor sitting areas with the fire pit. So peaceful!
Our cottage was perfect! It was clean, comfortable, private, and tastefully decorated. The owner spared no expense from the interior to the appliances. It’s more than a cabin, it’s home away from home. The setting is peaceful, & serene. Jim Campbell the owner personally welcomed us, he was very helpful with directions, recommendation, and overall just a nice welcoming persons. Cheryl the retreat manager is a lovely person. She is welcoming, warm, and friendly. Also very informative & helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay! I loved the ride on the side by side!
If you are looking for an out of the way, quiet vacation, this is the place for you. The cabin was perfect for our family. The only complaint I would have is that the kitchen supplies (pots, pans, utensils) need to be inventoried and updated and the linens could be updated as well. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back if we are in that area again.
This was a beautiful property. If you want to get away from it all this is the place for you. No traffic or noise, just beautiful nature. We really enjoyed the screened in back porch. Perfect place to relax.
We stayed for almost a week. Everyone, including the dog, loved it. It's near the park and beautiful in its own right. We were duly warned about using bug spray. The decoration of the cabin was a little overdone, and you should throw away the can openers, which don't work.
Those are minor issues, and I would stay there again!
We spent 2 days hiking to different waterfalls with family. Great memories made! The cabin is definitely in a wooded area and secluded. It’s quiet and peaceful on the property. Communication with the host was great! We loved our stay!
We have now stayed in this cabin twice and on this property in another cabin two other times. We continue to come back because the cabins are fantastic and the property is beautiful. We have everything we need every time we visit!!
As a 2004 retiree, I needed something to do to occupy my time. Since I was originally born in Tennessee and owned several acres on the Cumberland Plateau, it seemed only natural that I would eventually find myself back there. Renting vacation cabins came purely as a coincidence since I wound up with more cabins than I could use after buying out and 'ol Navy buddy.
I enjoy meeting and talking to all kinds of people and this seemed to be the perfect venue for that passion.
Why they chose this property
While traveling from Georgia to Kentucky we crossed the beautiful Cumberland Plateau many times. Each time we would comment on how great it would be to own property there someday and to thoroughly enjoy the area, especially Fall Creek Falls State Park.
What makes this property unique
The beauty and serenity of the area provides a great place to sit back and relax away from the hustle and bustle. The added joy of having the beauty of Fall Creek Falls so close by is just a bonus.
Sitting on your porch and watching the area wildlife come and go is a real treat.
