Not what we expected
Overall, the house is nice. It was clean and has a good layout. However, beware, this is not your typical VRBO owner. It is owned by a commercial company called Cabins For You. Had I known this prior to renting, I would not have. They require a photo of your drivers license and credit card emailed to them prior to check in. That may not be a problem for some but as an identity theft victim, it was outrageous. They didn’t send a message about this requirement until days before check in so we had no alternative but comply. The charges for the rental had already been paid weeks before so it seems ridiculous that they would have this requirement just days before our arrival. Other cons:*The bed is comfortable but the sheets are as scratchy and rough as cheap paper towels. *Along those same lines, the towels and wash cloths are also very cheap and the towels are tiny. *This is not a Mountain View cabin. It Is a construction/other cabin view. Do not be misled by the photos. From the incredible trek up the mountain roads you would expect gorgeous views. This is not the case. * The rental has an unsecured WiFi which requires you to receive their advertisements to join their network. *Salt and pepper consist of a few packets in to-go plastic ware from a restaurant. Be sure to take all basic staplesI attribute all of these deficits to being owned by a rental company as opposed to an actual owner. Again, had I realized this at booking, I would have chosen a different property.
