The apartment has 2 bedrooms, living room, bathroom with shower and kitchen with access to a washing machine or dryer.

60 fm apartment with access to laundry room. We are at the premises, if anything will be needed we are here at your disposal.

Easy communication to the malls and main attractions in the city of Reykjavik. All assistance regarding things to see and where to and how to get there, we will be available for you at any time.
We have a paradise in the city surrounded by lava fields.

Public transport, convenience store and other stores is only a 5 minute walk away.

Our apartment is more like a home away from home, oozing with coziness while ensuring all the privacy you need. Whether you are just passing through or taking that long needed relaxed holiday, you are sure to enjoy the magic surrounding our home.

We do our best to anticipate your needs with a wide selection of movies, music and cable options in the living Room, access to free wi-fi. Our place is also very child friendly with a unique and safe area for outdoor adventures.

House Rules
Check-in time is 5PM. Check out is 11. We do try our best to adjust to your needs so please let us know if any other check in or check out time is more suitable for you.
Normal consideration for the neighbors, no smoking inside. When the vacating time arrives the apartment will be left as it were at the time of arrival. Please be responsible in using electricity, water, gas and heating. Since we are a family home we do not allow parties.

Great place very cosy

Everything was there. Very cosy appartement and easy to travel around Iceland. Very friendly host, she answered very fast our questions. Kids loved the home cinema and we loved the cats.

Great stay and convenient location!

Had a great stay! Just what we needed for our group. The hosts were extremely responsive with questions, updated us with traffic information for the area, and quite friendly! A little crowded for our group 8 adults and a baby - but that’s our fault! Listing was accurate if you read through the details for sleeping arrangement! Definitely reccomend!

Beautiful

This apartment was perfect for my family trip to Iceland! Close enough to the city but quiet and peaceful. Very private with parking. Great views of northern lights. Convenient to all roads. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking with grocery stores close by as well. I cannot say enough about how great this property is!! We cannot wait to stay here again! Owner is very quick to respond to questions and will guide you with sightseeing tips etc.

Homey and convenient

We stayed 5 days, 4 nights after a few days seeing the south coast (as far as Diamond Beach) and then the Snaefellsnes peninsula. It was great to be in the apartment in a convenient suburb of Reykjavik, with fresh air, very comfortable beds, and views of the northern lights right from the garden. One could easily walk to multiple grocery stores and restaurants from the property, although it took us a couple days to orient and realize that. Make sure to coordinate doing laundry (if needed/desired) with the hosts, who are warm, welcoming, and very responsive.

Great accommodation with hot tub

Nice, friendly host who gave us great recommendations - and fresh eggs from their chickens. Location is perfectly situated near Reykjavik and for starting tours. Only a short footwalk from Eimverk Whisky Distillery. In the evenings relaxing in the private hot tub or with the available DVD collection is fun.

Nice peaceful location

My sister and I came to meet family we had recently discovered in Iceland, and to explore the capitol area. This little apartment was perfect for us! Had everything we needed, including Bastian the cat, who visited us everyday. Good location for getting around, as it was close to major roads. Definitely recommend!

Our hosts were simply the kindest people on the planet. Not only were they helpful while we were staying at their home, but alerted us to weather issues as we were traveling Iceland after we left.

We loved this property

Reasons: -Very comfortable apartment that has everything you need -Close to everything -Loads of movies to watch & pass the time if bad weather -Hot tub -Washer/Dryer on property -Quiet neighborhood -Responsive owners They also have a cat that is VERY friendly/sweet and will be your buddy if you want to let him in (otherwise, he's an outside cat and won't bother you). A nice place to stay and enjoy our vacancies

The House was not so big but had everything we needed. We were in nine, with two kids, and we enjoyed a lot our stay: the position is Easy to reach, even if the streets was closed for works, and very close to Reykjavík and this permitted us to stay in a comfortable and quite place near to the city. The visits of the cat Bastian were so much appreciated by everyone.. :4)

Great Location

Very friendly and responsive host. Great location - close to grocery stores and shopping, short drive to Reykjavik (close to freeway). Everything you need is there, including bedding, towels, and stocked kitchen. Laundry was a little challenging, but not a deal breaker. Overall our stay was great. There were 5 of us (1 couple, 2 teens, and a grandma), and we had plenty of sleeping space. One thing to note is that the apartment is the downstairs of the family that rents it out, and it is a farm with a cat and roosters. It is in a little neighborhood outside the bustle of the city. It has a beautiful garden and feels like an enchanted cottage.

This place was perfect for us. Fantastic location. Clean. Plenty of space for our family of six. Kids especially enjoyed the projector and screen. Largest DVD collection I’ve ever seen. Hilde was awesome. Everything was easy and seamless. Loved it!

Pleasant stay near Reykjavik

Property was great for our group of 4 adults and 2 children (aged 4 and 5). Our host was amazing at communicating timely and thoroughly, there was some road construction in their neighborhood during our stay and they kept us up-to-date on how to get around the road closure, plus updated us on the times where the hot water was turned off for a few hours due to the construction. The proximity to Reykjavik was perfect as well, just about 13 minutes from city center. Would definitely stay here again! The only downside was that the hot tub was not up and running while we were there, but we were so busy I doubt we would have even used it had it been full.

Family holiday in Iceland

The place was an apartment in a house about 15minutes from Reykjavik downtown. The comms with the host were easy and very informative. The apartment itself has a joint kitchen/dining/living room enough for 5 people. One bedroom has three beds, other has a bed for two people. You have all necessary basic equipment for cooking and laundry, and the host has a HUGE movie collection. The place has a garden where to enjoy some sun, and local shop is nearby. Recommend the place for good price/quality stay for a family stay, and it should be noted that the place has some rustic flavor in it!

Clean and cozy

This property checked a lot of boxes for us: very clean, close to downtown, free parking, enough room to accommodate 4 adults and 3 kids. We were a little tight, but it worked! (It would have been absolutely perfect for just my family of 5.) Homeowners were lovely and responsive. Outdoor area was a little run down, perhaps due to winter season. Please note, it is not handicapped accessible; the 4 steps down to get to the apartment are a bit difficult.

Cozy home

My family of 6 stayed here and my kids are all grown up so it was snug for us, the triple bunk room is probably better suited for younger kids but we still enjoyed it! Loved the visiting cats because we were missing our own. Convenient location. I recommend renting a car despite how expensive it is just for ease of getting around. Home is clean and cozy, with fun record collection and sound system, tons of movies with big screen to project them. Washer/dryer shared with owners, not ideal but this worked out fine. Basically if you are a laid back bunch (not Type A) and just looking for a place to crash between explorations, it’s perfect. Very friendly and responsive hosts.

Hot tub not functional

The apartment was great for our family of 5 and Hilde responded promptly to messages and sought to make sure we had what we needed for our stay with a baby. This was all very much appreciated. We were however very disappointed that the hot tub wasn't working. The hot tub is the cover photo for this place and it was a primary reason we booked this vrbo. Because we were traveling with a baby, we knew we wouldn't be able to be out and about all day and relaxing in the hot tub was a key part of our plan. It was clear once we got there that the hot tub hadn't been functioning for some time so we do feel like this was false advertising. If you don't care about a hot tub, this place is great for a family.

THE BEST! It's a little slice of heaven in an already amazing place.

We just spent a week in this paradise and I could not have asked for a better experience. Hilde and Axel are fantastic hosts that provide for anything you could possibly desire. The neighborhood is quiet but close to shops, groceries and one of the best public pools near Reykjavik! We were lucky with weather in March and were able to hike around much of the surrounding area. The hot tub was a welcome retreat at the end of a long day in nature. Hilde was always available to make recommendations and offer advice so we didn't try to cram too much into one day. If you plan on cooking, the kitchen is well stocked with just about any appliance/cookware you could need. The movie library is extensive and it is fun to turn on the projector to watch a movie at night. We rented a car and had a dedicated parking spot near the entrance to the apartment, which made it easy to bring in groceries and our luggage. This was our son's first experience with international travel and Hilde and Axel made it easy for him to feel like he was at home. He is already planning our next trip back. This is truly THE BEST accommodation in Iceland.
