It was the perfect spot for a quick getaway from Northern VA. The property was private (except for the huge family of deer that like to visit in early evening) and the the cabin was clean, cozy, and had all the basics we needed. Location was perfect for hanging out in town or getting lost in the trees. Looking forward to booking again.
Lovely cabin. Clean. Very secluded. Ful kitchen was a plus. Hot tub was wonderful. Only 10 min from town. Bed was comfortable with food pressure in shower. Even fouton couch was very comfortable and in good condition. With heavy rain there was a brown tint to the water.Over all very cozy and a lovely stay for 2.
Very nice stay. We used the fire pit and hot tub and enjoyed both. Excellent location close to cacapon, we ended up hiking and doing the clay shooting. The cabin itself was very nice, cozy, and clean.
We look forward to coming back! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and the seclusion made it feel like we were the only people on earth ringing in the newyear.
The cabin was cute and very private. We enjoyed the romantic getaway and would stay again. I would note that a bigger grill would have been a nice addition, but we managed with the mini grill.
The cabin was extremely clean, had anything you would need for the weekend. Owners responded very fast when we had any questions. Location is beautiful, and hot tube was perfect. Our only issue was the sulfur smell inside the cabin when we ran the water or took a shower. We did contact the owner and she did explain that it may of been due to the rain, She told us what to do and it seemed to help for - day, but next day smell was back. We didn’t want to keep bothering her about it, because we knew she couldnt do anything at that moment.. Everything else waas perfect .
Wonderful solitude for a relaxing stay. Comfortable bed and nice amenities. Able to enjoy the stars while in the hot tub or sitting around the fire ring. Great host.
The cabin was very relaxing, clean and has all amenities listed. It is a close drive from town, but out and away from others. We would like to return in other seasons. The weather was beautiful for fall! Perfect for just 2!
This is the perfect getaway in the woods. We had the greatest fire in the back on Saturday night. We found Wood and Kindling. A Gas Fireplace, great TV, everything you could need.
This cabin is set in a secluded spot down a long driveway on the side of the mountain. No one even close! We were blown away with how amazing it was! Can’t wait to go back again!
Property was very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub. Saw lots of deer and turkeys.
Only issue was the morning we were leaving a maintenance guy and the grass mowing guy showed up around 8 and 9 am. We would have liked to relax before we left, not feel rushed.
If you want to get away and be on your own - this is the place! Do note: it is a 7 minute drive from the paved road to the house. We went in my husband's Mustang and had to drive slow because it's on a long gravel driveway on a long gravel road. But we would do it again in a heart beat. Complete privacy, Berkley Springs is relaxing and welcoming, and Cacapon State Park is beautiful (17 minute drive on a gravel road to get to the lookout spot, but we felt that was also worth it). The hostess was very responsive and helpful when we needed anything. Hoping we can go back again!
Had an amazing time relaxing while celebrating our anniversary. Very tranquil and secluded. If you need time away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is the place.
The host, Jackie had excellent communication prior to arrival.
Wonderful memories made!
Ah, wilderness - well close for two hours from the city.
We enjoyed our stay immensely the location was very secluded and private. We loved the hot tub and the fire pit and sitting on the porch. It was just a lovely, cozy, little cabin.

About the host

When my husband and I first went to Berkeley Springs after we were first married in 1976, we found the area to be energizing and relaxing all at the same time. We loved the area so much we went back many times to take in the waters and rent a cabin or stay with friends. In 1998, we saw a little farm house on precious land and a few months later, bought it. We called it Sky Mountain Farm. A few years after that, we built a 5BR, 4BA cedar chalet on Libby's Ridge near Fox Hollow but out of sight which we also rent to vacationers. We love the smell of the fresh wood exterior and interior and the secluded hot tub on the deck. There is no light pollution here, so one can see the stars really pop out. We hope you enjoy our Fox Hollow Log Cabin as much as we do.
