It was wonderful to be able to stay in this space while in town to visit some of our favorite people. I have always loved this little cabin. The only things we would suggest is to please clean the ceiling fans. They were too fuzzy to use. It would have also been nice if we were provided a few hangers on the clothes bar above the washer and dryer to hang our jackets etc. Other than that, we absolutely loved our stay and will def book again.
The area is relatively quiet and the house itself is comfortable, including the bed which has a wonderful view of the mountains! Water pressure is good, sofa/chair are comfy (but not what’s shown in the pics - not really long enough for a person to sleep on which is what the pics show), flat screen tv, and there’s an AC machine and a gas heater.
The house is at the top of a hill but very close to three other houses, though there is room for a dog to run around a bit (not fenced in).
The town is super cute with lots of places to eat or grab a drink. Easy to get to San Cristobal Lake and Handies Peak.
The house was perfect for our needs and I would definitely stay again for a similar type of trip.
What a find! Very private cabin within walking distance to all the town has to offer.
Most welcoming people I have ever experienced. The cabin had everything I needed.
I was there for a week after the Music and Wine Festival. The bed is comfortable and huge for one man; would’ve been great if my wife could’ve gone too. In the photos (and I may have missed it), but I didn’t see that it had a full size double French door refrigerator. I was also concerned about the stove for cooking. However, the electric range heated up super fast and boiled water and cooked stew and chili faster than the gas range where I was staying before.
The bathroom is a full bath with plenty of room and a tub and shower, and a full-size vanity and towel storage. The lighting was great; and at night it was dead, quiet, and very peaceful. It was a great place to come back to after flyfishing for most of the day. I read at night but saw some movies streaming on the smart TV. The place has excellent Wi-Fi. When the cell tower in town went down I was still able to get some work done and text with the Wi-Fi that continued on despite the cell tower problem. Just an excellent cottage and getaway for a couple. I will definitely be staying there again. I absolutely loved it and hated leaving. Tannah Snow was extremely responsive by text and phone. I even met her in person behind her office when I was disposing of trash. Such nice people. The cabin is not for a large group, but it is such a great getaway, as I’ve said, for a couple.

Our yearly trip
Th pictures should be redone because nothing is the same. The place needs some attention on the inside,I had to clean the whole bathroom before we could shower! There are terrible directions in the book and emails. For as much money as we spent, there aren’t even any staples in the pantry’s.. We cabin stay a lot, they all provide much more and at least the places are clean. We had an amazing time. But this place needs some attention to a lot of things, the shower head is so messed up the bathroom got soaked, the curtains suck, there’s no toaster, the bathroom walls are terribly dirty, and there was no firewood for the fireplace….. I could go on and on but I won’t,the town is absolutely stunning! Please take better care …..
We enjoyed the three nights we stayed in the “forget me knot” cottage. It was very nice to have access to a washer and dryer as we had camped several nights and needed to do some laundry . I liked the large open kitchen and sleeping nook. I do think the outside patio could use some sprucing up to make it more conducive for lounging. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this quaint cottage.
This small cabin has exactly what’s needed for a simple get away in beautiful Lake City. It’s worth noting that it is located close to a few neighboring houses and we noticed all of their coming and going. There were some disruptive improvements underway on the cabin for the first couple days of our stay, but the property manager responded quickly and professionally to resolve the issue. It worked out to be a decent home base to explore the area!
