About this property
Salem charmer - 1BD close to downtown
Welcome to our cozy Salem retreat. Close to everything downtown but far enough away if you just want to relax. Enjoy beaches, distilleries, dispensaries, restaurants, bars and more within a 3-10 minute walk.
This is a two unit building. You would be staying in the second floor unit with private entry. We live downstairs and are home most of the time should you need anything.
Enjoy the spacious kitchen, living room and our front sun porch that we've named "Sam's Pub". Games, books, and darts!
The space
The house was built in 1915 so many features throughout the unit are unique to that time period of Salem. The house is extremely well kept for its age. It's a 1 bedroom rental with space for an air mattress if needed.
Bedroom: What the bedroom lacks in space is made up with charm. It comes equip with a queen size bed, your own closet, dresser, back of door hooks and AC window unit.
Kitchen/dining area: Fully stocked kitchen equipped with electric oven range, stove, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, garbage disposal and all the pots, pans, plates and utensils one should need.
Living room: Kick back and watch a movie, listen to a record or read one of your favorite books in our comfy leather recliner. The TV is not a smart TV but has a Roku stick.
Sunporch (aka Sam's Pub): Unwind with a frosty beverage and gaze upon some vintage sports memorabilia and darts!
The spaciousness of the kitchen into living room into the sunporch will give you plenty of room to spread out and relax.
Guest access
Private entry up a flight of stairs into the second floor where you'll be greeted by a vintage chandelier. You will have access to come and go as you please to the full unit minus the following:
-Two bedrooms (that will be locked)
-A few closets (that will also be locked)
-The back door is for emergencies only. We ask that you do not use the back staircase unless it's an absolute emergency.
Other things to note
We take great pride in our home we have built for ourselves here. We love it so much and we know you will too.
We ask that you please take care of the house as if it were your own. Be respectful and mindful of loud noises (music and games) as our neighboring houses are close and we live downstairs.
