The Avenue Carriage House is a charming 500 sq foot, 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit on the historic 3rd Avenue. It can sleep up to 4 guests with the queen bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. Just 3 blocks to the train station, it's perfectly located to walk to everything Downtown Durango has to offer. The unit is newly constructed and has been completed with modern furnishings and high end stainless steel appliances. It has a private, south facing roof-top deck to enjoy the morning sun or evening BBQ. Durango permit #CUP14-07

Sweet spot
Conveniently located to downtown Durango, we enjoyed this cozy and thoughtfully designed space, especially the private patio. Instead of eating out, we hunkered down in the carriage house, relaxing in the living room as if it was our own home. Sweet spot indeed!

Great spot right in town where we could walk to several places. Also a good spot to jump off to several of the great places nearby. The outdoor deck are was great to drink coffee and take in the morning sun

A perfect place to stay for hanging out in downtown Durango. Close to everything downtown. We walked everywhere. Top of the line kitchen appliances, comfy bed and furniture, quiet neighborhood. Can’t wait to stay again!!

Perfect quiet and central apt
This carriage house is a sweet spot a few steps away from the action of Durango. Hosts are wonderful. Bed is comfy, ktchen is perfect and the place is very clean. We love the fresh air deck on a warm day. Definitely one of our Durango favorites.

Long weekend in Durango
We loved the quaint apartment. It was very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is charming and very close to cute downtown shops and restaurants and the Durango to Silverton railroad station. We texted the owners twice with questions and they called immediately and were very friendly. We will definitely stay here again if we ever return to Durango.

This cozy carriage house apartment was perfect for a week-long stay in delightful Durango. It was our base for hiking, exploring and enjoying the great restaurants and shops downtown. The location could not have been better! The neighborhood was charming, perfect for early morning walks to get coffee or evening strolls to nearby restaurants. The hosts were congenial and made check in and check out very easy. The unit was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect Durango location
As might be expected, the (3rd) Avenue Carriage House is a converted garage attic behind a Third Avenue house. Because it's three blocks from the south end of Main Avenue, it's both close enough to walk downtown easily and removed from the hustle-bustle and noise of that busy area. The attic conversion was very well done and has turned the space into a charming one-bedroom apartment. It's very comfortable and quiet.

If you're visiting in Durango and want to be close to town, this rental is ideal. It's so convenient for walking to restaurants, shops, and even the train ride! Very quiet, too. We loved not having to find parking downtown. The home was cozy, clean, and comfortable. We also enjoyed watching an elk hanging out in the neighbors yard one day!

Carriage house summer getaway
The Durango Carriage House offered a beautiful setting for a cool summer getaway. The space was well appointed and provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. My wife and I especially liked using the gas grill for dinners on the private deck. We highly recommend staying here!

This is an absolute gem in every way. Great communication, adorable well-planned use of space, and private. Amenities galore including a comfy bed, tons of linens, storage, fully stocked kitchen (jealous of the appliances!), outdoor grill and patio, french press, gas stove AND A/C. Walkable to every treat worth having in our favorite little mountain town. Will stay again!

I hesitate to review how wonderful this place is because I want it available for me next time! Very clean, well appointed, great lounging spaces. Very short walk to great coffee, shops and restaurants. Parking was very close and never an issue. Quiet neighborhood but close to everything!
