Fully furnished, fully stocked, 2 bedroom 1.5 bath with cherry furniture, free WI FI, 55" flat screen smart TV, DVD player, Netflix, eat in kitchen, new stove, new refrigerator, new dishwasher, new microwave, new Speed Queen washer/dryer, sets of dishes, cookware and utensils. There are new safety grab bars in the bathtub/shower. There are fresh and clean linens, extra towels, extra blankets, extra pillows, new lighting and new window treatments. We have books, magazines, board games and puzzles for all ages. There is a craft box for kids to create fun stuff with their imagination. Dedicated off street parking. Level-in no stairs. Walk or bicycle to The University of California. Shop at the local Monterey Market, Magnani Meats, Monterey Fish, Cheese Store, Fresh Bakery and local Roma Cafe. Enjoy eating out in the Gourmet Ghetto or on 4th Street with many restaurants and shops to choose from. Central location with easy access to San Francisco and The Bay Area. Our neighbors are friendly and the area is residential with three parks within a short walking distance. There is a bicycle / jogging path next to the property which winds for miles thru beautiful neighborhoods. We welcome our guests from all over the world and enjoy helping them and their families. Kind Hosts & thoughtful arrangements

Well-stocked kitchen, great bed, many sensible amenities. Had many things I've missed in other places: a collander, sharp knives, a broom, good books, tissues, a friendly close neighbor. Scott & his partner were lovely & kind. Location is next to BART & the Ohlone Greenway (a people & bike route that cuts through town). Fabulous!

Excellent place, I would book again

Excellent location. We were here to tour UC Berkeley and spend sometime getting to know the area. I like the home, had everything we needed and the description and photos were very accurate. Excellent communication with the owner/host (Scott).

Perfect location, near the North Berkeley BART station and close to downtown Berkeley. Comfortable, clean, and a great host. Pretty much a perfect VRBO experience!

Great place!

I recommend this place highly! It's really clean, well kept, and spacious - and the proximity to BART can't be beat. The host was super responsive, clear, and available, but not overbearing. Best part: the kitchen is properly stocked with equipment. The host has thoughtfully included anything you might actually need to cook, not just a prefunctory dull knife you often find at short term rentals. Great stay.

Perfect home for our Berkeley vacation!

We planned a 2 week vacation at Scott’s VRBO, because it fit all our needs: great, safe location near our son’s work, a dedicated off-street parking space, a full kitchen with all appliances and cookware needed to bake a birthday cake and fix a Thanksgiving dinner, dining table to seat four adults, full living room plus a desk/table for our family to gather and play games, washer and dryer, and great ratings from prior guests. This place was wonderful, and Scott was a very kind, helpful, and thoughtful host. He had suggestion lists, guide books, and maps for anything you'd like to do. The next door neighbor is also friendly and has great recommendations too. The house was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, the neighborhood had fun eateries and shops within 1/2 mile, and we had everything we needed for a great stay. We would love to come again!

Great location for a stay in the Berkeley area. Very close to the North Berkeley BART stop and convenient for a car with an assigned parking space. The neighborhood is very tranquil, near the park and within walking distance of many Berkeley spots. The residence is well appointed. With everything you need for a great stay.

great. place to stay in N Berkeley

Place was great. Convenient to BART and also to bike rentals. Was about a 20-30 min walk to univ of berkeley. Host left nice treats and definitely thought of alot of necessities for guests (eg laundry detergent, coffee, shampoos, etc). Would definitely consider staying here again.

Extremely clean

Home was super clean and all linens, etc were unscented, a first for me with renting. Much appreciated because of all of my allergies. Scott was available immediately when needed. We enjoyed chatting with our friendly and informative neighbor. Main bed was super comfortable, not so much for an adult with the extra bed. Thank you for the bottle of wine & snacks!! Lots of cookware in great condition in the kitchen. Washer & dryer also very clean. A pleasure to use

Old school Berkeley at its best

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is great and very close to bart. It’s walkable to Gilman and a little farther is Shattuck and Solano. Scott is a very thoughtful host, and snacks and a bottle of wine greeted us. There’s a binder with tons of info if you don’t know the area very well. Our chats with Michael and Bella were a highlight of our trip. Would definitely stay again.

Great location - Super clean - Excellent communication

This is a great little place that is perfectly located. Incredibly clean. It has that Berkeley charm and feel, while really being well maintained and again, super clean. It's a bit tricky to find because the neighbors street address is much more prominent. But Scott was a very gracious host and allowed us to leave our bags on site before the official check in time. Couldn't find a nicer guy.

Great place for a car free trip

The place was very good for what we wanted. We liked being so close to the BART and walking distance to shops and restaurants on San Pablo and Shattuck. There was some construction noise due to the adjacent bike trail expansion, but not before 7 am, and not every day. We appreciated the excellent food and travel tips from our neighbor Mike as well.

Best ever.

The host was so nice, and the home was the best equipped home I've ever stayed in. The neighbors were so kind, the neighborhood was great and very close to the amazing Monterey Market, along with other markets. The host had thought of absolutely everything we needed for our stay. I would love to have exactly what he had in our home no more, I know that. It was perfect. It was a beautifully appointed home that was very cozy and comfortable. The beds were great, the bedding was great, the towels were great, everything was sparkling clean. Highly recommend.

Super Host

We spent a wonderful week in Scott’s lovely home. Check-in was a breeze. Scott was there and explained everything about the house. He left a gift basket for us containing wine, fruit, and coffee. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Newer appliances are beautiful. Very quiet neighborhood with easy accces to the BART. We would definitely stay here again! Scott is definitely a “Super Host.”

Perfect for Us

We’ve stayed in many places on visits to our son and his family, but Scott’s place worked especially well for us. With two bedrooms, there was plenty of room for our grandchildren to visit us there where they loved the novelty of the new place which even had a few kid games & books. They liked the miniature sink & shower opening into the bedroom and could have slept there comfortably in the trundle beds. The main bathroom had been refreshed and the kitchen was well supplied. There were a few very loud late night conversations partly because the house abuts the bike path, but otherwise that traffic didn’t bother us. The driveway was a bit tricky to find te first time, but it was great to have a designated spot rather than dealing with street parking regulations. Dining and shopping were convenient for walking or biking, and Scott’s relatives, and their dog, Bella, who share this duplex were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent Location

Very nice stay in this apartment ideally located 2 minutes walk from the BART and 10 minutes walk from Target. Had everything we needed for a good stay. Really useful to have a good sized fridge freezer, excellent washing machine and dryer. The apartment came well supplied and was comfortable for two adults and two teens. Correspondence with the owner was good.

Everything you need in a great location

The house had the perfect amount of space to serve as a home base while exploring the East Bay and surrounding areas. The proximity to the subway, nearby parks, and campus cannot be beat. Everything we needed was provided, including a kitchen with all necessary dishes and utensils, towels and linens, fast wifi, and a smart Roku tv. The owner was very polite as was his family who lived next door, and they were ready with great recommendations for nearby restaurants and attractions. Highly recommended!

This North Berkeley location is convenient for all our shopping, entertainment and travel needs. In every direction there is one great treat after another. We enjoy going to the fresh bakery, farmers markets, restaurants, music and plays all within a short distance. We are within walking distance to The University of California Berkeley.

What makes this property unique

Being across from BART you can travel the Bay Area without a car. We are next to a bicycle / walking path. There are three children's play grounds within walking distance.
