We had a great stay. Amazing location. Cozy and quiet. Had everything you needed as well as freshly baked sourdough upon our arrival. In a small New England town it was an amazing stay. Great setting and the Donkeys are on point. If I had to suggest anything, it would be to have fluffier, comfy bedding, we wanted to open the windows and have the air coming in but it was chilly and it would have been nice to pull the covers up and just enjoy. Other than that it was an amazing place and we would stay there again.
This property is spacious with everything you need to be comfortable. The kitchen has electric burners, an oven that will accomodate a 9x13 baking dish, microwave, slow cooker, griddle, coffee maker, full size fridge/freezer, so you really are all set here. Full size living room, bathroom that has an excellent shower, and wonderful fresh air coming in the windows. My 78 yr old parents and myself stayed here and we like clean smoke free quiet accommodations. This 100% fit the bill.
Notre « camp de base » pour quelques jours de vélo de montagne. Super bien placé proche de tout. Tout ce qu’il faut pour décrocher. Nous allons y retourner!

Even though originally from Vermont we’ve spent limited time in this part of the state. This place represents the best of Vermont and it was a pleasure staying here. There was nothing lacking in the home and the outside space was appreciated. Were looking forward to staying again.

Very nice home. Very clean space with everything we needed next to Northeast Kingdom. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

We loved the independence of staying in this little cottage. It felt private, though it was just across the drive from the "big house" and we could easily communicate with our hosts when we needed something. It has the feel of being out of the "madding crowd," but it's only five minutes outside of a town with groceries, a laundromat, and restaurants, etc. It was wonderful to have a whole kitchen at our disposal!
This VRBO is a little different from most others we have stayed at. A more rural setting which was perfect for us. It was a great jumping off point for us to explore the Northeast Kingdom. Hosts were very responsive and it just felt private.
Very clean as stated in prior reviews. Plenty of space and everything you could need is there. Homemade bread that Bethany makes which was delicious and they even leave a stick of butter!! We met owner Chris at the barn to see the donkeys and enjoyed that very much. Chris was very nice and we had a nice conversation. Thank you and if we are in the area again we would for sure stay at this place!! Thanks Mark, Mark, Meg and Jay

About the host
Hosted by Chris and Bethany Thompson
I am a wife and mother who loves hospitality! Hosting this rental property is a perfect fit for me and my family. We love sharing our sweet little cottage with people. We think the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont is beautiful and love showing it off! We promise that if you visit once, you will want to return.
Why they chose this property
We love the feeling of a country farm setting yet being close to the conveniences of town. Bethany grew up right here and is so happy to host people!
What makes this property unique
We are right in the middle of everything here. It is easy to get in and out of here all year round in spite of how much snow we may get in the winter. Quick access to I-91 and just two miles to Kingdom trails and the VAST trail is a tenth of a mile away.
