We loved the property so much. The view of the Potomac was simply gorgeous. The house was an experience all of it's on. Being from Charleston, SC I love historic homes. Being able to stay in an almost 300 year old house was truly an honor. We loved it. We enjoyed seeing lots of deer, a fox, turkeys and a bobcat. The Mexican restaurant and the 1836 Kitchen and Taproom were excellent. Check in and out was a breeze and Mike was such a great host. Thank you for such an Amazing week.Stationing
A lovely setting with hundreds of acres of trails and bordered by a vineyard, this restored farmhouse is accurately portrayed in the listing photographs. My wife and I, along with our two yellow labs, found it to be the perfect place to wind down, read books, explore the surroundings and just enjoy the experience. We stayed for 5 nights and for us, it was perfect. Even though there were 3 bedrooms, we only used one but it would be perfect for a larger family or a group of friends traveling together.Support from and communication with Matt, the property manager, was superb. We had plenty of wood for the outdoor fire, the kitchen and dining area was just right for our needs, and we heard birds chirping and saw the first, emerging signs of spring all around us.A first-class experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.
The host was very accessible before and during our stay. Very beautiful and unique house that holds the integrity of the original building. The upstairs is entirely bedroom space- each has its own staircase and the rooms do not connect without going down to the main level and up the other set of stairs. The only shower is in the master but each bedroom has its own bathroom. Private area with lots of land. We had a great time.
We had a lovely time at the farmhouse! While two of the bedrooms were technically on the same floor they were separated by two different stair cases that made it slightly difficult with young children that need to be supervised for sleep. We loved walking around the property and exploring! The host was extremely easy to get ahold of!
My partner and I wanted a place to stay for a quiet weekend away after the holiday hustle and Dutchman's Creek was the perfect place. Hidden down a long, winding road we saw more deer than people while at the house, but were a quick drive to breweries, wineries and restaurants. The kitchen had everything needed to make meals, including basic spices. We only used one bedroom, but the bed was comfortable. The downstairs was chilly, but the fireplace warmed up the room while we lounged. Check-in was easy, and the property manager Michael was quick to respond to questions and helpful with recommendations. We will definitely be back!
Our family of 5 had a wondeful stay at Dutchman’s Creek Farmhouse. I fell in love with the character of this home online and it exceeded our expectations. It was so great having Michael 5 minutes away if we needed anything! We loved watching the stars from the HUGE hot tub, cooking smash burgers and eggs on the Blackstone, s’mores on the firepit, walks to the Potomac, day trips to Frederick MD and Harper’s Ferry, and just hanging out together in the beauriful kitchen and cozy living room. The home was decorated beautifully with all the modern conviences but with all the character of a 300 year old house. We had 2 in the 2 twin beds in the basement, and used both the upstairs rooms. All had toileta and sinks and shared the large shower in the master bedroom upstairs (along with the outdoor shower because it’s fun). The steps going up and down to the bedrooms added to the unique character and may not be ideal if you have a hard time with steps but we had no problems! We stay in a lot of cool and unique houses and this one was the most stocked of any of them with everything we needed! They truly go above and beyond! We didnt want to leave! They really thought of everything!
