Great cabin in a quiet area! Just what we needed for the 3 of us and our quick stay on Fairbanks area. Highly recommend the crepe place in North Pole for breakfast!
Fun little getaway for 3 longtime friends. Cabin was within 30 minute drive of most areas we visited. Cabin was well stocked, clean, & beds quite comfortable! We really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed for 5 nights. Comfortable cottage with beautiful view and a quiet location. Lots of things to do within a reasonable drive (anywhere we drove had gorgeous views). Well stocked with all the little touches that made our stay very comfortable.
Enjoyed the location. Great place to see the northern lights. The home had all we needed. It was only 2 of us. It was just minutes to the store and all the places of North Pole and a short drive to Anchorage. The only thing I feel needs to be done is the brush trimmed down in the area of the back deck to see the lake from there. But just that area the rest was great privacy. But even with that I would recommend anyone to stay there we enjoyed it.
We had 80 degree days while we were there. My granddaughters boyfriend caught lots of Rainbow trout. They even went out on the paddle boat. We sat on the deck until 3am. amazed at the daylight. We all caught a fish before we left and the neighbors didn't catch any. Lol! If you are there in the summer don't forget the bug spray.
They need to knock the weeds down from house to lake front. Couldn’t see grandson on paddle boat from back deck…. Picture in ad shows clear view to lake front, not the case!!
Excellent Location, Clean and Comfortable House, Great Communication with Owner!
The location is an excellent staging point for trips in the Fairbanks North and Eastward areas. The cabin is very warm, well-maintained, and has excellent quality freshwater and amenities that are very well kept.
Heating in winter is excellent, and the house even provides a perfect outlet to use a block heater on your vehicle conveniently parked out front. We were able to see the northern lights from the cabin windows on two nights of our stay.
The location provides very easy access to Chena Lakes recreation area and to Highway 2, with easy driving to Fairbanks and Delta Junction. The neighborhood is quiet, and the lake is a very beautiful setting particularly in winter.
The hosts did a wonderful job keeping us informed about northern lights activity, and we're great to work with. We will definitely return to this property in the future!
The cabin was clean! The pond was a hoot. My grandkids fished morning and night. They caught grayling and trout. Paddle boat with life jackets worked great. Trolled around pond with kids fishing, they did not want to go home. Thank you hosts!!
Perfect for a weekend stay in Fairbanks. It's close to everything, but far enough that it's nice and quiet. Great layout, easy to come and go.
Highly Recommend!
Our family would love to stay again, unfortunately it was our last journey to Fairbanks. Staying in this little home was a perfect send off. My Grandchildren loved the paddle boat and the Christmas decor throughout the cabin. Great Location. We even spotted a moose.
This place was comfortable, very clean and very cozy. The owners were super nice. It definitely has a homey feel, lots of room for the kids to play outside and the neighborhood was quiet. I really enjoyed staying here.
We had a wonderful relaxing time at this rental last summer. We were visiting friends in Fairbanks and the sites. The beds were very comfortable , it was also great having 2 bathrooms and laundry. We just loved it and enjoyed overlooking the small pond in this quiet area. Thanks!
The cabin was perfect for our little excursion. I mean it sits about 20 miles south east of Fairbanks which wasn’t too far to travel every day. We ate at little Richards family diner which is one exit closer to Fairbanks from North Pole. They had the best Philly cheesesteak sandwich ever. Will definitely be looking at this place in the future if we come back to Fairbanks area.
Thanks Curtis and Tami.
When the sky is clear, you can observe the northern light from the bedroom windows. If you are willing to stand in the cold, stand outside the front door to take beautiful pictures of northern light. If you want more open space for professional photography, drive to Chena Lake Recreation Area, that’s only a few min away. The road is plowed well to that park.
House is well stocked. We are very happy for our stay.
