Absolutely Gorgeous.
Stayed for an extended weekend, a shame we had to leave. Host was very attentive, checked in once or twice through text to see how we were doing.
Other cottages nearby, but this place still felt secluded and remote. Perfect place to sit out and relax. The view of the sunsets was incredible.
We will hopefully revisit in the future. A lovely experience.
Perfect place to stay for a guys Fishing Trip.. Spacious with lots of Room and Beds and Location was amazing. Kitchen was well stocked Marcus(Owner) was Great in responding to Questions and was very accommodating for us.. Would definitely recommend this Cottage on the lake!!!
This is our 3rd summer vacation here and it is amazing every time. The owners really go out of there way to think of everything from bikes to kayaks and make your stay amazing. The view is breathtaking and the private beach is very well used by my family. Can’t wait to go back!!!
A little disappointed in the grounds. The grass had not been cut and there was shards of glass from the deck on the lawn and in the garden that my dog tried to eat. I do not know when this happened. The freezer did not work well.
Otherwise it is a lovely spot

Beautiful Location but Repairs/Upgrades needed
The outside property was beautiful & big and there was great outdoor equipment available. The beds and bedding were exceptionally good. Improvements needed in communication of what is not included - no handrails on the two sets of outside stairs leading to and from the deck. Very dangerous and I would suggest illegal. We had two small children under 3 there for the week. Also, not included is a microwave or electric kettle for basic boiling of water. The kettle we used on the stove needs to be replaced as its handle is a bit wobbly and loose. We were provided with one dishcloth and one tea towel for the week (8 people). No instructions provided on how to operate any of the appliances - dishwasher, stove, oven, washer, dryer. It was trial and error to figure out how any of them worked. Travelling into Parry Sound takes 45 minutes from the cottage, not 1/2 hour as advertised. Fridge quit working and we noticed on Wednesday morning. Marcus was very good in calling us back immediately, and did arrange for his cleaner (and my husband) to bring up a small fridge from the basement. We texted back and forth over the next two/three days to determine if fridge was ultimately working again. In the end I wasn't sure it was. No qualified repair person was ever on site.
Our children and grandchildren did enjoy their week, but we found the culmination of issues quite stressful.
We had 6 people for our annual fishing trip. It was a great location with a protected dockage but access to the most amazing fishing. The accommodation was good for our party. A little tight, but a trade-off given the size of our group and location.
The cottage is as advertised and the photos are accurate. The pre arrival instructions were complete and the checkin process was simple. The cottage is located in an ideal setting on Moonlight Bay, it was quiet and the local cottagers were very friendly. The private beach was perfect for swimming and launching our kayaks.
There were many amenities included to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. All you need to bring is your personal items, clothing, and food, everything else is included. Overall a great place, in a perfect location, with amazing views and sunsets.
We were impressed and would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely time here! It was so relaxing and the view was incredible. The kayaks were so fun and our baby and dog loved the shallow water!
We had very little cell reception which wasn’t the worst thing, but was a little challenging at times when we needed to make a phone call or use gps. While wifi would be a great addition, it was nice to be unplugged for a week!
I’d recommend bringing extra fans as it can get pretty humid and hot at night.
There’s a boat launch right next to the property where people will hang out and swim, so it’s not completely private but it really wasn’t an issue for us and most of the time we had the lake to ourselves!
It was exactly what our little family needed, our dog was especially sad to leave. We will definitely be back next year! Thank you for sharing your wonderful cottage with us!
Owner was great, corner property faces West for a gorgeous sunset over the water. But shaded mornings made for damp furniture outside - and quite buggy. We had very little luck fishing off the shallow dock on the North side. Made up for it by enjoying the kayaks though. Public beach next door and acoustics of location to surrounding cottages made for less privacy than we'd hoped for. All in, enjoyable week on comfy beds and a smorgasbord of games and videos, not to mention every kitchen gadget you could ever need! Thanks Marcus and Marianna for sharing your lovely cottage!
This was our first family holiday in 4 years since arriving in Canada from the UK and we wanted a place that we could all spend time together away from the hustle and bustle and reality of life.
Check in was simple, the communication from Marcus day 1 was simple and quick and it was an easy place to find just 30 mins from Parry Sound.
From the tranquil location nestled in a private bay with a sandy beach to the comfort and homely feel of the cottage itself we had 4 wonderful nights together.
We saw a bear for the first time on route along Skerryvore road, loons and many species of birds on the lake and if you like fishing it’s a great place to cast off too.
The waters are warm, fun to swim in and the use of the Kayaks are great. There is ample room to play (or for our dog run around like crazy) sunbathe on the beach, the deck, the garden or dock and watch the boats and wildlife go by.
Even Despite a couple of cloudy days we made the best of this home, playing games and just being a family once again and we all can’t wait to come back and visit again maybe as soon as the fall.
We have travelled far and wide over the years and we have all agreed this home and our holiday made us all fall in love with Canada and all it’s beauty just a little more.
We have just returned from a week at the cottage, it was clean, the view is amazing, and the beach and shallow water was perfect for our kids. We spent our evenings on the deck, enjoying the view as the sun set.
We were very pleased with the accommodation and location. The private beach was perfect for the children , my husband loved fishing off the dock and the cottage was very well supplied with kitchen equipment. We had some cloudy days but it didn't stop us from swimming in the lake.
There were no issues so no reason to contact the owners except for access on arrival. A very smooth rental experience.
Great place to unwind! The view makes this place worth every penny! Had everything we needed and even more. Location is relatively remote, so don’t be expecting to pop into Parry Sound, it’s not close. Don’t forget your firewood! And be ready to cook with charcoal or stove / oven.
My kids and I have never been on a family vacation. The 3 of us each brought a friend and had a “buddy system” for all of the fun activities, kayaking, fishing and hiking. It was an amazing stay. Would definitely go again.
Stayed here on an annual Georgian Bay trip with friends to kayak; we were really pleased with the cottage and the easy beach launch for our kayaks. Large deck and lawn for lounging and enjoying the views. Kitchen well equipped, bedding was cozy warm for the cool evenings at this time of year. There were four of us, one couple and two singles; and the only catch would be that the bunks are not designed for tall adults which was the majority of our group. Overall a great place with stunning views and perfect getaway location.
Cottage was cute, view was amazing even though it was March. Not that clean cobwebs everywhere, bathroom not really clean. If you love hard beds you'll love these ones. Hope your phone has Hotspot to hook tv too, no cable or satellite. So we had no TV all weekend. But like I said, view of frozen lake was beautiful
Cottage was as described. Very clean and comfortable.
The view down the bay was perfect for sitting and doing nothing but relax as we watched the ice almost melt in front of our eyes. As March break goes it was lovely and quiet.
My fiancé and I have been renting from Marcus for about 5 years now and there is a reason we have continued and will continue to return. We have only spent the late fall there for fishing but everything about this cottage is perfect. The nightly sunsets from across the bay, the easy access to great fishing, a fully equipt kitchen, comfortable beds, and a space that feels like a hug when you walk in. Marcus has always been fantastic with response time and one of the last visits I accidentally left an item there and once they found it mailed it to me. Couldn’t give a higher rating to this property if I tried.
Perfect place for a winter getaway! The cottage is clean cozy and well stocked with utensils etc.
The indoor wood stove and amazing view of the frozen bay and beautiful sunsets are perfect for chilling with some mulled wine after a day of playing in the snow
The frozen bay made for a huge and fun playground for our dogs to run around freely.
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. We have our own property in the area that’s not winterized and thought it would be nice to visit but have warmth and amenities. The property is perfect for 2 small families. We didn’t need the extra 2 bedrooms. Nice modern touches and beautiful view of sunsets. We brought our snowmobiles and we’re not disappointed with being out on the bay. Definitely recommend.
Lovely spot, must be a real treat in the summer, especially with leaves on the trees, surrounding the cottage.
Wood stove was superb! quiet, quiet ! Owl, Hawks, Jays, and a otter ;)
We’ve been staying with Marcus and Marianne for a few years now as my fiancé is an avid fisherman and their cottage is the perfect get away and access to the water. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook your meals, it is super warm and cozy after a cold day on the water and the beds are comfy. We come up a few times up in the fall and look forward to it each time. Thanks for being great hosts
