This simple, clean, 2 bedroom home has everything you need to enjoy a vacation by the beach. It is a lovely quiet neighborhood, just a 10min walk directly down our street to the beach. If you really want to feel like you live in San Diego's best neighborhood, this is the place. It is a real home (not a condo or apartment), with a lush garden in front and private fenced back yard. Well behaved pets are welcome. There is no extra pet fee. Reserved covered parking spot in the driveway. Fresh oranges off the tree in the back yard. Newly remodeled bathroom with walk in shower. Split unit AC/Heater. And our signature welcome margarita fixings, chips and salsa are waiting for you on arrival.

Fantastic Location

This was such a great home to stay in. Two blocks from the beach with a small backyard and huge kitchen! Just be aware that the house is chilly in the winter but otherwise a perfect spot and the host was very communicative and kind!

Little Gem Close to the Beach

Older house in nice quiet neighbourhood. A short walk to the beach. The home was very comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Newly renovated bathroom with walk-in shower. It was really nice that the unit had some basic oils and spices. The host communicates readily and wants to do anything possible to ensure you have everything you need and have an enjoyable visit. I would definitely stay here again.

We had such a great time & would love to stay here again.

Convenient location in a beautiful peaceful & quiet neighborhood. The beach is just down the street & there are nice restaurants & cafes within walking distance. We stayed the week with our black Labrador Retriever & having a yard for him was so nice. This home is beautiful clean & a very comfortable & safe location.

It was the perfect house for the perfect occasion. I specially like the fact that they have bikes and beach accessories. It’s a very nice little him near the beach and you don’t have to struggle to find parking. Hoping to stay here again on our next trip to San Diego.

Peaceful Beach House

Great location for walking to Beach. House well stocked from basic cooking items to cleaning supplies and paper products. Very grateful for window AC and multiple fans during unprecedented heatwave! Comfortable, enclosed backyard. Despite close proximity to neighbors it was very quiet and peaceful. Private drive was essential as there was never an open space in the street.

Comfy Cottage

Cottage had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking including spices, cleaning supplies, and initial supply of paper products, etc. Great neighborhood for walking to dining, beach and shopping. Good communication with attentive host. We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy place

Great mature little place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. There is no AC so the oscillating and ceiling fans helped out. Alisa was very welcoming, kind, and communicated very well.

Great Location

Great spot in PB! Beach is walkable, as are several very good restaurants. House is perfect for family of 4 (young kiddos who don’t mind sharing a room) + pup. Well stocked with beach gear, though be sure to ask the owners for extra fans, they’re needed due to the humidity.

Very welcoming. We enjoyed our stay. The host and hostess were there to give us any help we needed. Early morning you can hear the ocean. It is easy to get around SD from the location. We had no complaints, and will try to return next year. Thanks again Alisa and Darren.

Quaint Home, Great Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Kitchen was well stocked. Loved having my morning coffee on back patio and listening to all the hummingbirds. Too bad we didn't stay long enough to ride the bicycles provided! Great location and appreciated having a designated parking spot. Would have given 5 stars except the beds were a little uncomfortable for us.

Cute house in North PB

Comfy spot in North PB just a couple blocks from the beach. Loved walking the dogs to the beach and my favorite coffee spots. House is a bit dated but furniture was comfy, kitchen was big and great for entertaining, and the dogs loved the fenced in backyard. And having a parking spot was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very responsive to every request and super friendly. My only constructive criticism would be to update some of the kitchen items and hire a cleaning service between guests.

California dreaming!

This house and it’s gardens were a dream for us! Quiet, safe and in a nice neighborhood. It’s a very clean home, with an enclosed, grassy back yard and covered parking too! It was close to dog friendly beaches and restaurants. Everything updated, great water pressure in the shower, and super comfortable beds, pillows and furniture. We loved the hosts too! Very kind and helpful people with a great chips and salsa welcome, with margaritas as well! Thank you, Alisa and Darren! Great job 🌺🐶

Very Peaceful Beach House, every convivence both in the Kitchen & Elsewhere worked well

The property is stellar. Appreciated all the kitchen appliances and plenty of silverware, just a perfect set up to prepare meals. Even had an orange tree out back in the beautiful private yard to make very fresh orange juice. Beds very comfortable. Livingroom great with large screen easy to use TV and super comfortable chairs and couch. Of course, a washer and dryer easy to use in top condition. The onsite covered premise parking was very convenient. Did I enjoy my stay in every way? You bet I did and would love to stay again. I stayed two weeks I wish it was much longer. The owners were always helpful though everything was there and needed very little help. Yes, the Peaceful Beach House is just that!

Nice place and people. Little buggy.

Woke up to ants in bed one morning and had to deal with a few roaches. Cable remote wouldn't work right even after changing batteries. However, owners were super nice and accomodating. Tons of stuff to use at beach as well as 4 bikes. Back yard was awesome. Location was great.

Great location! Owner was very nice!!

Overall the experience was great. The only issue we had were people showing up to do work unannounced. One morning we came out to do laundry and the garage door was open and they were working on a carport they had just installed the day we arrived for our stay. The last evening we were there, we were having a family bbq and someone just came in the back gate to take trash cans out for trash day. A knock on the front door would have been more appropriate than just walking in. The owners were extremely friendly.

Loved the Location! Cute house! All basic necessities covered!

We had two couples stay at the property and it was perfect for what we needed. The cons: The shower head is very low - if you’re taller than 5’8, you’ll have to squat to wash your hair. Additionally, one bedroom door has to be lifted to align with the latch / fully close. Also, the property does not have AC and it was hard for one in our group to sleep without cooler air (fan wasn’t quite doing it). The pros: The pros definitely outweighs the cons!!!! The property has a grill, outdoor seating, bikes, camping chairs, and the location was absolutely perfect. It’s walking distance to really good restaurants and the beach. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Additionally, the owner is very communicative and responsive. She even dropped by full salt and pepper shakers! The house is well equipped with oils, seasonings, and almost everything you need to cook / eat at home. There’s also an orange tree in the backyard — which was perfect for a little snack after an active day. I would recommend staying here and hope to again.

The front yard was a bit of a jungle. There were trees, bushes, flowers and weeds completely covering the yard and blocking any view from the windows. This would be fine if you want complete privacy. The house was fine except the furnace, which ran a lot because of the cold winter this year. When it would start up and start to warm up, it would bang loudly as the metal expanded. It took a couple of weeks for my dog and I to get used to that noise. The shower didn’t work properly. Everything else was fine. It had everything I needed to stay for the 14 weeks I was there. It was a cold, rainy, cloudy winter due to El Niño. But that wasn’t the fault of the property.

Perfect little home away from home near the beach

This is the perfect little close-to-the beach house that served us well during our short stay in San Diego. There were only two of us, but it would have been well suited for kids as well. The TV was BIG and the cable worked (though the remote needed a PhD). All the appliances functioned well with the exception of the grill. But that was OK. The beds were comfy as were the couches. The one bathroom is small, but has a tub and shower so it is still all you need. Quiet neighborhood, within easy walking distance to yummy eating and convenience shopping. Also, easy and quick driving distance to full grocery stores. The backyard is not very private, but it is lovely with lots of seating options and a great fence (again, that would be good for kiddos). Having a designated, covered parking space was dynamite as parking is at a premium around here. All in all the stay was great, and the home charming. I would recommend this home for singles, couples, and small families. Oh, and the margaritas and chips/salsa were very thoughtful.

Sweet House, Short Walk to Beach

We absolutely loved staying in this home! It was cozy and homey, which allowed us to relax, and not over-worry about our kids destroying anything. We ate dinner in the backyard nearly every night, enjoying the fresh ocean air, green grass and orange/lime tree. The hostess was extremely responsive, and check-in was super easy. When the house got a bit too warm, the plug-in fans and coolers throughout the house were more than sufficient. There are two grocery stores right in the neighborhoood (Gelson's has a nice poke bar!), and many, many restaurants and bars within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, allowing my husband and I to sneak out for a little lunch date, while the kids stayed home. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking and grilling utensils, and we enjoyed the meals we prepared here. Traffic in this area is a breeze, and we recommend making the 3-minute drive to the beaches on Law Street. We would absolutely stay here again.. And again.. And again.

Lovely, quiet retreat

The property was well maintained and close proximity to the beach and restaurants. The backyard was relatively secluded and perfect for our dog. Alisa was great and attentive to any needs. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful beach house

This location was in walking distance to a beautiful beach and many restaurants! A quaint and quiet street, and a lovely yard! We have already discussed staying there again! Thank you for a lovely time and the margaritas were a nice touch! Very welcoming!
