Fabulous tranquillity
We are a family of 5, with the kids aged 4, 7, and 10 who stayed in Zlatovisce for 10 days.
This was an absolutely amazing holiday, everything we wished for. Quiet, remote, picturesque village surrounded by mountains and wine and olive plantations.
Niko, our host, is a great guy who was very helpful in all respects. We also had a wine tasting and traditional Croatian dinner by the hosts (super delicious!).
The house is very clean and has everything in it. There are 4 double bedrooms and a dining room with a big table, sofa and TV. There is a large lovely terrace also full of sun. Internet is very fast.
We didn't have a car and walked a lot - that was the plan. We really enjoyed walking and breathing in the air full of pine aroma and enjoying the mountain view.
There is an Uber in the area due to the proximity to the airport, but they are not always reliable. There is a choice of local taxis, which are slightly more expensive than Uber, and normally they need advance notice. Also, I believe Niko can help with transportation if need be.
The supermarket, bank, pharmacy, the pizzeria is 2km away in the village of Gruda.
A rocky beach is 1.5km away in the other direction, and a more picturesque Pasjaca beach with pebbles is 3.5km away.
There is a farm with horse stables that runs ATV and buggy tours just 5 min away from the property.
Also, the village of Radovcici is up the hill, and you can enjoy the view of the sea and mountains from SV. Nikola church.
There is a very posh restaurant in the village of Ljuta nearby.
Dubrovnik is a 30 min drive away and makes a perfect day trip.
