Enjoy the quiet seclusion of the mountains in Bear Necessities. This one-bedroom, two-bath log cabin is nestled in Brother’s Cove and comfortably sleeps five. Recharge after an eventful day in the bedroom’s king-sized bed, the game room’s sleeper-sofa.

When you book your stay at this cabin, you receive free admission to popular Smoky Mountain attractions with Xplorie. This program entitles our guests to one free adult admission ticket, per night stay, to attractions like WonderWorks, Rowdy Bear Coaster, and more.

The bedroom contains a jetted-tub and a private bath, with the game room featuring a pool table, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Gather in the living room to watch a movie on the flat-screen television, complete with DVD player.

The fully equipped kitchen includes both large and small appliances, to meal prep, and can be served at the spacious dining table, seating six. After dinner, head to the wrap-around porch with a glass of wine to admire the natural beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains from the hot tub or the picnic table.

Guests have access to the resort’s swimming pool in the warmer months, and a washer and dryer, and propane grill is included for your convenience.

Excellent cabin

Loved the cabin. As advertised. The hot tub was awesome and we had fun shooting pool on the pool table. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful Cabin

This cabin is gorgeous. It has everything we needed. It was decorated beautifully!! It really has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The hot tub was clean and definitely came in use after some long hikes. The mattress was super cozy!!! After seeing some properties, I’m so glad on the placement of this cabin. You didn’t have drive up far with lots of turns but it still provides a beautiful view. It was very clean too!! The fireplaces were so nice to have!!

Great getaway

I’ve read a lot of cabin reviews in my day, and I just want to say some people are ridiculous, me on the other hand it’s pretty simple. Was the cabin clean? Yes, was there a little dust way up top on the ceiling fan, yes. Point is there is some dust in my house as well, so it felt like home. Propane grill looked like new, and was great to use. Bed was comfortable for my wife and I. Hot tube was hot and clean, jets not real powerful but cover was easy to take off and put on and it was very enjoyable. Kitchen had everything we needed and utensils were clean. Refrigerator and stove worked great. Cable and Wi-Fi worked well, and you will need the Wi-Fi there is no cell service, which is ok by me. Simply it was a great cabin to stay in for the four days we spent there. Driveway is steep but is paved, however it is tricky to turn around at the top. We have a AWD Dodge Charger which made it up the steep slope fine, but turning around was, like i said tricky. There again, if you have ever stayed at a cabin before, pretty normal. Now for the part my wife and I care about the most, neighboring cabins. The closest neighbors are on the opposite side of the deck where the hot tube sits, around 150 - 200 feet give or take. With the trees all around we never saw anyone, just the other cabins lights at night. This cabin is 97% visually secluded from your neighbors. We had well behaved neighbors, never saw them but could hear them from time to time. Very nice cabin, very nice location. Also thank you to the cleaning staff and to those that checked in on us via text and email. Job well done. P.S. view of the smoky mountains pretty much nonexistent with the tree foliage, however on the top deck of the cabin you do have a small view of them. That being said I’ll take being secluded over the view any day. Basically there are plenty of good views of the mountains when driving around. Also sitting on the deck in the morning you will have the sunrise.

Weekend Mountain Trip

Lovely cabin for our weekend getaway, lots of room and very spacious. The mountain views from the porches were stunning and the entire cabin was very clean and well kept. Cabin is close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville, about a 20-40 minute drive.

Knotty Cabin 71

Loved the cabin but exterior needed maintenance and the start of drive had good size dip and asphalt was washed out. Could have used lights for drive. Couldn't see once dark to leave. The community pool wasn't able to be located.

Wow! Even better than expected!

Unbelievably beautiful property! Secluded, but not too far from pigeon forge (15 mins). Would highly recommend for a romantic getaway. Pictures, while nice, do not do the place justice. The free passes that come with the property were an unexpected bonus.

Secluded get away

This was our second stay at Knotty n nice. We love the privacy it offers. The cabin is wonderful for two. It was great to just unplug and enjoy the scenery. Love the back deck. This is where we had all of our meals. A recommendation, if you plan on cooking your own meals, would be to bring extra cookware, potholders, etc. The cabin has plenty of dishes but is lacking a little on cookware. Also, there were no potholders provided. This was not a huge deal for us since we tend to bring our own anyway. We will definitely be back.

We give it 5 stars- A couple of suggestions someone else might get use out of: extra blankets, the hot water heater must not be very large, because if one person took a bath/shower the next person had zero hot water. The other thing is and not sure of anything can be done or not and hopefully just on the outside of the roof and not in the attic if there is an attic space- is the critters running around at night. It didn’t bother me but it bothered my spouse since shes a light sleeper and even earplugs didnt help. But even with those things/suggestions the cabin is perfect and clean, very nice and comfortable! I would stay there in a heartbeat again. Thank you again for sharing your cabin with us.

Gas logs didn't work, jets in jacuzzi had what seemed like saw dust in them, and jacuzzi leaked water through the ceiling on lower level.

Peaceful retreat

The cabin is beautiful! Very cozy and comfortable. Love the views and the seclusion. We made all our meals at the cabin and enjoyed them on the porch. A suggestion would be to be sure and bring any cookware you may need. We brought some but wish we had brought more. We will definitely stay here again.

Great cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the Knotty ‘N Nice cabin for my birthday. The checkin/check out procedure was easy and simple. The cabin was lovely! From the decor to the views, we fell in love instantly. The cabin is nestled in the mountains which is about a fifteen minute drive to the main road. The cabin was so peaceful and serene which was needed from the city life. This will be our new getaway cabin when needed.

Lots of privacy

Very private cabin. Just what we were expecting. Bed was on the firm side. There were a few kitchen items that were pretty old looking and no vegetable peeler, that we went and bought. No soap provided in the downstairs bathroom. No laundry detergent provided. May want to take that out of your description of things provided. No kleenex. No hairdryer. Great layout. Nice hot tub and deck area. Pool table top needs restretched. Upstairs fireplace does not work. Only DVD player is in the bedroom. Would be nice to have one in the main living area, especially since the satellite tv provided has few options, not even network programming. Also, housekeeping needs to pay a bit more attention to dusting and to the floors. Sticky and dirty. But quiet and lots of privacy which is what we were wanting.
