The Space:
For those seeking a quiet and secluded trip away, the family-friendly Walton Arkside Oasis fits the bill, close enough to pop back into city life when desired yet far enough away to let it escape your mind. As the name alludes, you’ll be within just 20 miles to the extraordinary Ark Encounter, a one-of-a-kind biblical themed attraction that a description just won’t do justice for – you simply must see it for yourself! Visitors from all over the world come to see this amazing, man-made wonder, and we can assure you that you will not be disappointed by what you find. Cincinnati city life is less than a half hour drive north, where you can catch a sports game, visit a historical museum, book a tasting at a bourbon distillery, shop to your heart’s content, or plan an evening meal at one of the eclectic local restaurants. If you prefer to keep closer to home, the city of Florence is the perfect in-between compromise, only 10 minutes from the home and offering its own desirable selection of shopping and dining. When you’re ready to retire for the day, enjoy a relaxing evening on the home’s upper-level deck where you can dine on your dinner al fresco while keeping an eye on the kids as they play in the back yard.

The home’s bright and fresh interior is adorned with contemporary furnishings set against modern décor, creating spaces as suitable for relaxation as they are entertaining. Kick up your feet on the plush living room sofa as you stream a movie or episodes of your favorite shows on the mounted smart TV. The centerpiece kitchen showcases stainless steel appliances, glossy stone counters, and striking deep blue cabinetry stocked with all the conveniences of home. Gather for meals together at the sophisticated dining room table with seating for 10 or enjoy meals at the go perched up at the counter with high-top stool seating for 3. Pool sharks and beginners alike will want to make their way to the garage-turned-game room, where a pool table awaits to host hours of competitive fun.

Less than 30 minutes outside of Cincinnati, this is the perfect location for those seeking access to metropolitan activities while staying in a rural community with serene landscapes. This home is within easy reach of some of Cincinnati’s most popular attractions like the Bengals Stadium, Riverfront Park, and Great American Ballpark. Beyond this central area, there’s still so much more to explore. From Cincinnati’s street art revolution which has transformed neighborhoods with 180+ public murals, to its serious beer culture, revitalized historic neighborhoods with trendy shopping and dining like Over-the-Rhine, and authentic Art Deco architecture and design, this culturally diverse city is a can’t-miss destination.

Back on the Kentucky side of the river, you’re in prime Bourbon Trail territory. Check out distilleries and sipping points where you can sample Northern Kentucky’s bourbon, often paired with traditional southern foods. From Walton, you’re also within an hour of other major metropolitan centers Louisville and Lexington. Make day trips to explore these urban areas, while the home gives you the best of both worlds with its peaceful, countryside setting.

Great communication- close to the Ark and Creation Museum

The house was very clean and close to the Ark and Museum. We took our family, and everyone had their own room. The only issue we had was the bathroom situation. There is not a shower downstairs which caused a bit of a confusion since the listing states three showers, and there are only two. However, we were troopers and made it work. Communication was top notch, answering questions within minutes! We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the vacation.

Cozy and inviting

The property was clean and well kept with the number of bedrooms and bathrooms needed for our group of four ladies. When we discovered the coffee maker didn’t work a new one was delivered the same day, so management was very responsive. Our only caveat is that since we are ‘older’ with some hip and knee ‘issues’ the stairs were a bit of a challenge. Otherwise, it was a very nice place to stay.

Nice property for smaller group

The listing said three full baths when only 2.5. One of the full baths was an en-suite so it was uncomfortable for our group of 8. I was refunded part of the fee.

Great location halfway between Creation Museum and Ark

Very comfortable house with all amenities, working laundry, very responsive property managers, plenty of blankets and towels for 8! One down-side was due to the cigarette smoke smell in the garage we could not use the pool table. But other than that would stay here again, especially if they clean up the cigarette smoke smell.

Vacation with friends

This house was very roomy and clean! Myself, my husband and 2 other couples stayed here and we had a great time. The house is located in a subdivision, but it was very quiet, we didn’t hear anything disturbing noise. This house was very accommodating with everything we needed. The kitchen is well stocked with great cookware and everything we needed to prepare meals when we didn’t eat out. We highly recommend Cattlemen’s to eat, excellent food and service. I choose this rental, because it was very close to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter, a must see if you’re in the area. We all were very pleased with this rental and would definitely stay here again and will definitely recommend to friends that are looking to visit in this area. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Convenient location

Comfortable stay with plenty of space - listing should say 2.5 baths rather than 3 but other than that, it was nice. Location is a very easy drive to The Creation Museum and The Ark Encounter.

Ark encounter trip

Property was just as described. Just be aware that there is an active train track nearby. Was not happy that we had to take out the garbage and start a load of towels before we left as we were charged a cleaning fee. Due to weather conditions and roads being washed out due to Hurricane Helene we were not sure we would be able to get to this location; owners would only return cleaning fee, we chanced it and went anyway so not to lose what had been paid. Please note half of party could not come due to washed out roads.

Nice place

This house was very nice for the 6 people traveling in our group. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of room in the kitchen/living room for all of us. The back deck was very nice in the mornings and evenings as well. Be ready to climb stairs. When you walk in you either have to go upstairs (living area and a couple of bedrooms) or downstairs (bedroom/bathroom). We didn't know this information before arriving but thankfully we were all able bodied and able to maneuver them. We chose this house because it was in between The Ark and The Creation Museum. We loved both of these. Overall the stay was nice. The neighborhood was very quiet.

Close to Ark Encounter & Creation Museum

The only areas of improvement is the listing should say 2 & 1/2 baths instead of 3 baths. Tub drain needs cleaning out also the shower curtain was too long into the tub. Jacuzzi water needs to be changed as it had too much chlorine.

Relaxing Long Weekend

Four girlfriends for a long weekend visiting the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum, we quickly each found our own room and congregated in the living room for a movie night. We enjoyed the safe, family-friendly neighborhood and enjoyed a walk before sunset the following evening. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and appreciated the extra storage space in the pantry. Beds were comfortable. Also we could park in the garage, so we didn’t worry about leaving our shopping treasures in the car overnight. We loved the convenient location between the Ark and the museum. A lovely time was had by all of us! Definitely a great place to spend your downtime.
