Host profile image
We are from Charlotte NC & Canada, but we currently live in Whitsett. We moved to La Paz Mexico in 2018 to simplify our lives so we could experience something different with our young daughter. We moved back to NC in 2019 & love hosting guests at our properties. We’ve always loved hosting gatherings and stays for our friends & family, so this has grown into a fun opportunity for us. We both really enjoy renovating old homes with unique feels, so along with our proclivity for hosting, we truly enjoy doing this as a business in order to give people an enjoyable, relaxing environment in each of our homes.
We also have kids and dogs and ducks and turtles, so we realize our guests also love to bring their pets and children with them on vacation so we try to keep things very easy by allowing our guests not to worry when they bring the whole family!

If there are any questions regarding the area you’re staying in or you’re looking for restaurant suggestions or shopping places, we are happy to give you a great list of places to go according to your personal taste.

Why they chose this property

What we love about this property is its proximity to everything you will possibly need. From restaurants and stores, to shopping centers and colleges, it’s right around the corner from the highway. This makes it very accessible to events in Greensboro, Chapel Hill, Elon, Burlington, and in a matter of 15 minutes or less you will be where you need to go. While also feeling like you were out in the country because there are no neighbors next to you. With a fully fenced in yard, you have a view of our neighbors lake, cows and horses along with the 2 Peking ducks that walk on our property. You are more than welcome to feed the ducks when they come up to the back deck or when they’re out by the fire pit. They don’t like pets but they love food!

With the hot tub on the back deck with the grill and the seating area, you’ll feel very secluded and private in this space. It is very close to 70 which is a big main road, which is why we added the fully fenced in backyard for the safety of children and pets. There is a large saucer swing in the front yard, and it goes very high if you want a fun swing ride.

What makes this property unique

The property is expansive and has great views of the country life. But it is also very close to the highway and very close to shopping centers & stores, which makes it very easy to run up for a last-minute grocery. When you’re on vacation, you can’t bring everything with you so running to the store after you drop off the family and your luggage is very doable because Food Lion is only a two minute drive away. ABC is only 5 minutes away. And if you need a Harris teeter or a Lowe’s Foods or even a Walmart, they’re also just about 10 minutes away.

We love our privacy with the hot tub and fire pit, and you can honestly have music outside as loud as you want, and no one will care or be bothered by it. It’s a great house for family gatherings and friends to have a fun weekend away for no reason or for a fun event.
