THE GROUNDS:
Sawkill Creek Cottage is set amidst a private backyard with fruit trees, three babbling springs, and a thousand springtime daffodils. The front yard slopes to the confluence of the Savantine and Sawkill Creeks, two "exceptional high value" streams flowing out of Delaware State Forest.
* Short switchback trail leads down the hill to a flat picnic area at the water's edge
* Island where creeks converge for fishing or a private hang out to wade in the water
* Private 10 acres, perfect for kids to safely explore nature

OUTDOOR FEATURES:
The wrap-around deck with seating offers expansive views over the creek bottom, a portion of the Delaware State Forest, and the Pinchot Experimental Forest.

* HOT TUB: Gaze across the valley while enjoying your favorite beverage.
* OUTDOOR DINING: Dine on the deck listening to the creek below with an eagle's view of the valley.
* FIRE PIT: Share stories and s’mores around the fire
* GRILL: Visit one of our local butcher shops to grill up your favorite cuts on the charcoal grill.
* TRAIL TO CREEKS: The home is perched at the top of the hill overlooking the valley above the creeks. Some may find the switchback trail down to the creeks to be steep.

INSIDE THE COTTAGE:
Everyone can gather in the open main level which includes a family room, kitchen, dining room, and a half bathroom. Built-in bookshelves provide an eclectic library of books and DVDs. Large windows make this space bright and full of natural light.

* Fully equipped kitchen with coffee bar: percolator, French press, burr grinder, scale, Chemex pour-over carafe, and electric gooseneck kettle

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
Journey upstairs to find three restful bedrooms and a full bathroom. The western and northern bedrooms each have queen beds, while the eastern bedroom includes a twin-over-full bunk bed and an additional twin bed.

GAME ROOM (downstairs)
Decide who’s paying for dinner over a pinball tournament, choose from hundreds of games on the electronic Infinity Table, or pull out a board game or puzzle. The other full bathroom with a freestanding soaking tub allows for a quiet space to soak.

1st check in @3 , we arrived at 4 and had to wait on shoulder of hwy 20 min for them to salt drive so we could drive down,the walk way and decks were covered in ice makeing it hard to get in.only 1 of 4 pinball worked,only 1 tv not 2 , could not use hot tub because the path to get into it was solid ice.not sure what kind of heat but very dry,up stairs was cold we slept on sofas.we have gone to 4 places in the last seven yrs.this is the 1st one we would not return to.mayed summer is better .too hard to access in winter
