Now that's a picturesque mountain cabin right there if you ask me.
Yep, it's magical in the snow. Imagine drinking coffee on the front porch.
Beautiful, starry Ozark Mountain skies await.

About this property

Hikers and waterfall chaser friendly cabin

Welcome to Special Rock Cabin. We fell in love with the Ozark Mountains during the Summer of 2020. We knew we had to have our own piece of this paradise. In May of 2024, it became a reality when we bought our cabin. Real cedar interior, board and batten siding, it had that true “cabin” feel that we wanted. Above all, it is right smack in the middle of all the hiking and waterfalls that we love. As for the name of the cabin, our kids use to bring us “special rocks” from daycare, and we loved it, so we incorporated the name!

1 private bedroom with a King bed.

1 semi private bedroom/laundry room with custom built in live edge cedar bunk beds. These things are sweet and we are proud of it!

Kitchen has full size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, and is stocked with your basic cookware.

1 bathroom with shower/tub combo. A curtain separates the bathroom from the semi private bedroom with bunk beds

Living room is open to the kitchen and has a fold out futon and matching chair. It's pretty awesome real aspen wood furniture.

Covered front porch to take in the Mountain breeze at 2,015 foot of elevation. We love our morning coffee right here, and we think you will, too.

We have 3.1 acres to explore. This is a remote part of the country, and we have bears, fox, coyotes, raccoons, and lots of deer on and around our property. We have a game camera on our property that has caught all of these animals. Please bring in all food and trash at night so our wildlife does not get it.

Cabin is on Scenic 7 Byway, considered one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the country! You should see the color change in the Fall!

Cabin is 22.5 miles from the quaint Mountain town of Jasper, and 22.9 miles from the Buffalo River at Carver Landing.

**Guests may NOT use the wood burning stove or access our shop. NO PETS, as my daughter is very allergic. NO SMOKING OR VAPING. No campfires unless you bring your own firepit. Thank you for understanding.**

You may use the entire cabin. However, guests may NOT use the wood burning stove or use our shop on the property. Thank you.

Other things to note

There is no wi-fi at the cabin. AT&T cell service does not work at the cabin. Verizon has service at the mailbox but not inside the cabin. Cell service is spotty in this area. You can drive a few miles north or south on Hwy 7 and you will begin to pick up service.

Guests may NOT use the wood burning stove in the kitchen.
