Beautiful Space Thats needs work and upkeep
Where do I begin. I have never written a negative review for a stay in my life. Unfortunately 11 chimneys was the worst stay I’ve ever had. First and foremost this cabin is in the mountains and the weather was 20 degrees. 4 of the 5 heater units didn’t work. Which just screams neglect. How could all 4 independent split units not work? They were on with no heat being produced. Second we had to use space heaters which their electricity couldn’t support. So all the sockets broke. And the breaker wouldn’t fix the problem There was only one roll of toilet paper per room with no access to moreThere was no cell service where we were and their internet didn’t work or was extremely slow so I couldn’t get a hold of the people running the cabin. Nor did they understand our needs when I walked to town to get service. Also. There was no hot water. Ice cold showers for 3 days. I had to buy our own toilet paper, extension cords to find the sockets that we could plug heaters into. We slept in our coats. We also spent 300 on fire wood to make the place livable for the weekend. Those renting cabins in places where there can be weather have to keep their homes up to code. The place is beautiful. And when it warmed up Sunday it was lovely. But it was stressful and a poor experience. I hope they invest in improving their place before renting again!
