About this property
Basement Bedroom in Old Craftsman
Private room in a secluded part of the house. New tiled bathroom and granite kitchen counters. 3 blocks walk to the start of the vibrant and famous Alberta Arts district.
The room has window that opens to the side yard, closet, writing desk, reading lamp, shelving, mirror, full-size bed, Hollywood frame, and an over-sized, solid wood door. The room was carefully renovated with many green, earthly features including: denim insulation (instead of the usual fiberglass) in all the walls and ceiling, recycled wood trim, and refinished, concrete floors with area rugs. The room has good access to the free high speed, wireless internet.
The ceilings the basement is low, so if you're over 6ft tall, you may feel uncomfortable. The basement (except for the entrance) is refinished and has a new granite counter-top kitchen. Across the hall from the room, is a new walk-in, tiled shower and bathroom (also low ceiling) that is shared with one other room.
This room, one of two basement bedrooms, has a separate entrance and only shares the laundry with other guests.
The door to the basement is in the back of the house and can be accessed directly by walking through the gate, around the right side of the house along gravel paths. Many guests enjoy the extra privacy this affords.
