Nice house in nice neighborhood

This is a cute older house that has been nicely updated. It's in a nice neighborhood on a dead-end street and was very quiet. After the negative review, I was concerned about staying here, but this was a really nice property. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. I don't understand the previous review at all. Yes there was a water stain on the foyer, but I had to turn on the light and look for it to fine it. I think the comments about overflowing gutters is ridiculous -- this is a short-term rental, why would you care about the gutters? Overall this was a clean, well-maintained property. I'd give it a 9 out of 10.A couple of things could have been better. First, the thermostat was extremely non-intuitive, and difficult to operate even once we had figured it out. And it kept resetting to an overly warm temperature (75). I set it to 71 when I went to bed and woke up at 1:00 sweating. It had re-set. I woke up at 6:00. It had re-set again. This makes for a poor sleep. The kitchen was pretty bare in terms of pantry supplies. There wasn't even sugar for the coffee. There was no tea, no spices (except salt and pepper in very nice grinders), and no condiments. Also the sheets were microfiber. It's just my personal thing -- I really need natural fiber sheets. I would absolutely stay here again. I'd just bring my own sheets, and if I expected to cook I'd be prepared to bring or buy pantry staples.

Extremely Disappointed with Our Stay

From the moment we arrived, we encountered multiple issues that negatively impacted our experience. Despite expressing our concerns multiple times throughout our stay, nothing was properly addressed or resolved.Major Issues:- Locked Master Bedroom Door Upon Arrival – This was an immediate inconvenience that should have been checked before our arrival.- Broken Toilet Paper Holder in the 2nd Bathroom – This was particularly inconvenient, as my sister, who has the use of only one hand, was unable to manage a toilet paper roll without a holder.Overall Poor Condition of the Home:- Water stains and damage on the ceiling in the foyer & master bathroom- Overgrown gutters- Cracked & chipped paint throughout the walls- Broken master bedroom closet knob - Broke master bedroom side end table- Stained living room couch- Non-functional living room TV due to dead batteries- AC reset to 80 degrees daily, making the home hot- Full trash bin upon arrival, preventing us from disposing of our own trash- Insufficient towels provided at check-in- Dirty bathroom cabinets and mirror surfacesAdding to the frustration, this property appears to be a privately owned short-term rental managed by a larger investment group, which likely explains both the poor upkeep & the lack of effective communication. This impersonal, profit-driven approach resulted in an experience far below expectations, with no real effort to resolve concerns.
