Our dual-home Oaks & Pines listing combines the charm of both White Oaks Haven and Woodland Pines Cottage, offering plenty of space and privacy for up to 20 guests (12 max adults) across two homes. Set together on one 5-acre, partially-wooded lot surrounded by nature, both homes offer year-round hot tubs, open-concept living spaces, and access to our private swimming areas and docks just 1 mile away on Upper Scott Lake.

White Oaks Haven is a much-loved 5-bedroom, 2-bath home that comfortably accommodates 12 guests (8 adults max) and sits on a private, half-wooded corner lot. Recently upgraded with hard-surface flooring and high-speed fiber internet, this ranch-style home features a three-season sun porch with foosball and air hockey (newly upgraded July 2024), perfect for entertaining. Relax in the cozy living area with an electric fireplace, or cook up a feast in the well-equipped kitchen with butcher-block island, then gather around our large 12-seat dining table. The home also includes an all-season covered hot tub open year-round, an outdoor fire pit with plenty of seating, and beautiful woodland views from its picture windows. Guests will appreciate the custom walk-in shower with a seat and hand sprayer, making the home more accessible and comfortable for all.

Woodland Pines Cottage is a cozy 3-bedroom, 2-bath retreat nestled on a portion of the same semi-private, lightly wooded lot next to White Oaks Haven. Perfect for up to 8 guests (4 adults max), the cottage offers an open-concept living space with a 55” satellite-connected HDTV, DVD player, and small dining area. The kitchenette is small but well-stocked for your cooking needs (minus a dishwasher), and the well-shaded outdoor patio area comes with a gas grill and a small dining space. The always-open covered 4-seat hot tub ensures relaxation in any season. Nearby, you'll find a fire pit with plenty of seating ready and waiting for your evening gatherings. Like White Oaks Haven, we know you will find its rustic charm is perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Both homes are pet-friendly, allowing you to bring up to three (3) total well-trained dogs. We include the free use of our two (2) private lake access areas and docks on nearby Upper Scott Lake, which sit right next to one another just a mile away from our homes. With amenities like a canoe (kayak rentals also available), fire pits, hot tubs, a three-season sun porch with game tables, and plenty of outdoor space, this dual-home retreat is the ideal destination for larger groups seeking relaxation and adventure in nature.

Guests will have full access to both The Oaks & Pines homes (White Oaks Haven & Woodland Pines Cottage), including our two (2) all-season covered outdoor hot tubs (available year-round, even in winter), spacious unfenced yards with two (2) fire pits and plenty of seating, and free driveway parking for up to a total of ten (10) small or medium vehicles.

Enjoy our nearby unfenced private lake access points (one per home & adjacent to each other), located just one mile away, each of which includes a private dock, canoe, and two (2) Adirondack chairs. Canoe paddles and life jackets are stored at each house. Use of our canoes is complimentary, and we also offer single-person kayaks and paddle board (limited amount of paddle boards) rentals for $25/day per vessel (subject to a $100 minimum rental charge), which are available only by reservation with pre-payment. Local boat rental options may be available, so please ask us for details. The public boat launch is conveniently located near your private lake access and dock.

RV/camper parking is not allowed, and guests are asked to park only in designated areas due to the underground septic systems and buried propane tanks. A car is necessary to explore the beautiful sights of southwest Michigan.

The Neighborhood:
The Oaks & Pines: White Oaks Haven & Woodland Pines Cottage are part of our group of Upper Scott Lake area vacation rental homes, which is a small community of welcoming cottages in the Scott Lakes area of Lee Township. The area is quiet and peaceful, and many vacationers return year after year to the same spot with family, friends, or co-workers.

Summer brings the fun of boating, swimming, picnicking, and relaxing. The autumn colors are spectacular around Upper and Lower Scott Lake and in the surrounding area. Local orchards are filled with apples ripe for picking and cider ready for sipping. Enjoy the area's winter sports like skiing, sledding, cross-country skiing, and ice skating. Warm up in front of our cozy fireplace with a bottle of your "new favorite" local wine after you've had a chance to sample all the area vineyards have to offer. Spring brings the lovely colors of the flowers and leaves bursting to life, invigorating your soul and mind after the long winter. Take in some of the most famous and plentiful examples of spring's bounty during the annual early May Tulip Time Festival in nearby Holland, Michigan.

The cottage is 10-15 minutes from Crane's Orchards and Dutch Farms, famous for delicious pies and fruit picking. On the way to the orchards is the Fenn Valley Winery, offering tours and wine tastings. Antique lovers will find charming shops in nearby South Haven, Allegan, Douglas, and Saugatuck. In the summer, dune rides in nearby Saugatuck are a blast and the South Haven beaches are gorgeous. Go fruit picking for cherries, blueberries, raspberries, and peaches in nearby orchards. Art galleries in the area offer a wonderful selection to take home as souvenirs. Take your kayaks to different lakes and rivers, but don't forget your paddles and life jackets!

The area is peaceful and quiet, ideal for families, friends, or co-workers who return year after year. Whether you’re enjoying the beach, taking in the landscape, or exploring the towns, this dual-home retreat provides a perfect setting for every season. Upper Scott Lake is only 15 minutes from downtown South Haven or Saugatuck, and 25 minutes from Holland.

Please note: We have a strict "no-partying" policy, and any such disruptive behavior will result in immediate removal from the property. Township-mandated quiet hours are from 10 PM-8 AM daily

Getting Around:
You will need a car to see the best that Southwest Michigan offers. We Do Not Offer Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging & Attempting To Do So Will Overload/Damage Our Electrical System. Violators Will Be Charged A $400.00 Fine Plus Applicable Damages.

Interaction with Guests:
Door codes for each home will be sent separately via email and text message just 10 minutes before check-in for easy self-access.
