This fully furnished lake house on Lake Madison, SD, comfortably sleeps 8 guests. It features two bedrooms, a full kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and a laundry room. Outside, enjoy the patio with a grill, a fire pit, and a dining table with chairs, perfect for relaxation or gatherings. With beautiful lake views and all the comforts of home, this lake house offers a peaceful getaway for families or groups looking to enjoy Lake Madison's serene environment and recreational activities.

Overview
The Grandview Lake House is nestled in an older residential neighborhood near the northwest corner of Lake Madison. Recently renovated, this home does not have private lake access, but several public access points are a short drive away. The property offers parking for 3-4 vehicles, or a combination of vehicles and a boat. Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs, an outdoor fire pit, and a four-burner Blackstone grill.

Upon entering, there's ample space for seating and shoe removal. The home provides flexible accommodations, including a small room with a full-sized bed and a larger room with both a queen bed and a full bed. Additional sleeping options include a rollaway twin bed, two small toddler cots, a couch, and a futon. The full kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and all essential cooking supplies, along with a dining table for four and a smaller table for two. A full bathroom features a stand-up shower, and the washer and dryer are located at the back of the bathroom. The rear entryway serves as extra storage space or a sleeping area with the twin bed.

Capacity
The house comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests, with the option for more if you bring an airbed or use the couch for sleeping. There is only one full bathroom, but the spacious layout allows for flexible arrangements and storage.

Accessibility
The home is accessible with only one step to enter, and once inside, there are no steps. However, due to the home’s age, some floors are slightly uneven, which may be a concern for guests with limited mobility.

Parking
Parking is straightforward, with an outdoor driveway adjacent to the house, providing space for several cars or a truck and a boat.

Pets
Dogs are welcome with a pet fee, but no cats are allowed. Please keep pets leashed, as the neighbor’s dogs are typically leashed as well. Clean up after your pet, both indoors and outdoors.

Heating/Cooling
The home features central air conditioning and heating, along with ceiling fans to help circulate air.

Smoking/Illegal Activity
Smoking is permitted outside only, and cigarette butts must be disposed of properly. Smoking indoors will incur a $350 fee. Illegal activities are prohibited and will be reported.

Stay Duration
Bookings are accepted for stays of 2-30 nights. Longer stays can be arranged by contacting the host.

Building Structure
Built in the early 1900s, the home is stable but has uneven, creaky floors due to foundation settling.

Bugs and Nuances
Occasional encounters with ants, spiders, fruit flies, or earwigs may occur despite regular pest control. The property is near the water, so noise from cars, boats, and other lake activities may be heard.

We are located in Sioux Falls, about 40 minutes from Madison, SD, and will not be available on-site at the property. However, if any emergencies arise during your stay, please reach out to us immediately, and we will do our best to resolve the situation promptly and ensure your comfort and safety.

This is an older home with uneven floors and no private lake access, though nearby public access is available. We ask all guests to respect the home and neighborhood by maintaining a peaceful environment. Please be aware that the neighborhood can be noisy in the summer, and neighbors may set off fireworks at random times. Surrounding neighbors also have pets, so we ask that you keep your pets leashed to prevent any issues. Very much enjoyed our stay here! It was such a a cute place. Looked like everything redone/updated in the home. Close and convenient to Madison. There were so many thoughtful touches for the guest including to go cups with creamer and sugar for coffee, all the necessary bathroom supplies so you don't need to pack your own - with extras in case you forgot your toothbrush! Check in was easy and convenient with a code lock and communication was excellent with rapid responses to my texts. Will definitely look to stay here again next time we come through!!!
