About this property
Indoor-Outdoor living for three
Beautiful Indoor-Outdoor living for three at our peaceful stream side retreat with private gazebo. Located next to the Waipio Lookout, our Hamakua Coast rain forest property is the perfect place to recharge and rejuvenate. Hear the rush of our waterfall and enjoy our private oasis. We’re a 10 minute drive to Historical Honoka’a Town with restaurants, theater, grocery stores, shopping, art galleries, & P.O. Horseback riding, hiking, ATV rentals are close. Our "Banana Belt" climate is perfect!
This is a cozy one bedroom retreat with a touch of modern located on the first floor. The first floor flows into a private, large outdoor deck and patio with a private gazebo for taking your meals, reading a book or visiting outdoors. The gazebo is sided with mosquito netting for outdoor sleeping. You have your own private entrance for coming and going, and attached, your own private bathroom. It is fully furnished with a comfortable king sized bed, a twin-size day bed, and extraordinarily, comfy low-set large couch for putting your feet up and resting.
There is a full kitchen, including full size refrigerator, gas oven, stove and microwave; dishes, silver-ware and coffee maker. There is a newly installed 43" Internet TV!
Running through the middle of the property is a peaceful year round stream, molded with spiritual sized rocks and surrounded by rain forest. The stream cascades over small waterfalls among the rocks, and terminates in a dramatic 50 foot water fall. Put your feet in the water, play with the craw fish, or layout on the rocks in the sun. Listen to the rushing sound of the stream, meditate, enjoy a book or explore the magical gardens that weave in and out of the gulch. For the adventurous you can even go exploring in our rainforest.
We have HiSpeed Internet! For the remote worker or writer, the apartment can be your live-in remote office or studio for longer-term stays. Washer and dryer are available on premises.
We are a ten minute drive to Honokaa, which puts you central between Kona and Hilo, both an hour and fifteen minute drive away. Enjoy the sites and nature down the Hamakua Coast between here and Hilo, or we’re an easy forty-five minutes to the many West coast beaches on the way to Kona.
When our schedules permit we enjoy meeting with our guests to go over house rules, and to orient our guests on the property. We appreciate that guests keep us apprised of their plans for arrival, and to let us know when they're checking out. We encourage our guests to use the guidebook in our AirBnB listing but are more than happy to check-in and make recommendations. We want our guests to reach out via the Airbnb chat application or to call if they need anything or to let us know if something in their rental unit is not working.
