Nice time

We stayed with my family and mother in August. It was a short (couple block) downhill walk to downtown, and it was immediately adjacent to a few hiking paths and ski lift. The accommodations fit our needs, and we'd rent again!

True Ski In and Out at Snowflake Lift

Great location with very short walking distance to Snowflake Lift and Charter Sports Ski shop. Very convenient if your skiing. Condo does need some updating and new bed linens and pillows. But the location can’t be beat!!!

Great Location - needs some attention

This property is in a superb location! It is a great condo, that really just needs some attention to details that would make a huge difference. The most glaring of these is the old and gross bedding. The master bed had sheets and an old blanket on it. No comforter. The bedding in general was all old and therefore, not something that you want to sleep on. There was a very obvious kitchen drawer broken when we arrived, that could have easily been fixed. There was no kitchen trash can. The bathrooms and kitchen are circa 1980. There was no code given to the deck door, which is what makes this a true ski-in/ski-out. Having been a vacation property owner myself, it seems like a small amount of money and attention would upgrade this condo tremendously. No one wants to pay high dollar to sleep on old, gross bedding no matter how great the location. On the other hand the management company was responsive and brought blankets and scheduled a repairman when the heater wasn't working. They provided the code to the deck door when we asked half way into our trip. We didn't ask for them to provide a trashcan or fix the kitchen drawer. I would look for a condo in the same location with some updates.

Walking distance to bike rental shop and not too far to the gondola. Inside was very nice. Kitchen was well-stocked with equipment. Television interface was easy to use.

Christmas in Breckenridge

The biggest positive for this property is it's location. This was our first true ski-in/ski-out property and it was great to be so close to the lifts and able to come back for lunch and then back out to the slopes to maximize the amount of time we skied. Access to the hot tubs was nice and easy to get to. Serviced by yellow bus line. Overall instructions to the property were clear. The biggest problems with the property were that it had a couple of mechanical issues. First the gas fireplace didn't work and it never did get working even after calling several times and having someone come out and look at it. It was kind of a bummer as it would have been a nice addition to help us celebrate Christmas and provide a nice ambience. We also had the heat stop working a few times. We were able to get it working two of the three times by resetting all the circuit breakers (as told by the maintenance guys we called). But on our last day, we couldn't get it going again. It was a little chilly that day and we had to deal with a lot of our children not being very comfortable. There were a few light bulbs out on lamps, oven light, microwave light over the oven, etc. that started to become a little bit of an annoyance. keypad lock on door was very difficult to lock and unlock. Understand 1 or 2 of these issues, but after 4 or so, started to become frustrating. Fix these mechanical issues and the property will be good and it is these issues that drove the 3 start rating.. Again, the main selling point is location.

WIT out West

My group of friends and I loved our stay at the Tyra Chalet. The location was perfect with a ski in/ski out and short walk to ski rentals and the Snowflake Lift. We were able to walk in to town or take the shuttle. We all loved our first time in Breck and would gladly stay again. The only thing is we ran out of toilet paper by the last day and there was no laundry detergent, but 11 of us slept comfortably and had a great time! Thanks for hosting us!

Great location

Great location and clean accommodations Check in process was smooth and condo was accurately represented. Humidifiers really helped. Parking was very tight due to excess snow piled up in lot , but this is a high class problem when skiing.

Perfect location!

Overall experience at this property was excellent! I can’t stress enough how perfect this location is! We could literally ski to our back door! It was so easy to get our skis and boot rentals from across the street; and Snowflake lift was just across the street! Bus stops were only across the street also! The condo had everything we needed from cookware to humidifiers to a nice warm fireplace. We would love to come back and stay at Tyra Chalet #126 again!!

Best condo for ski in/ski out

This was a great location for skiing. The condo was on the 1st floor and we easily walked to the lift across the street and we're able to ski right into our condo, parking was outside our front door. Also, there was a nice area for skis and boards with a boot warmer. Plenty of space for our family of 5. Only drawback was we could hear the people in the condo above us and our hot tub key did not work. We would book again if it was available in January.

Breckenridge Delight

Other than the dated bathrooms which others have mentioned, this was a great place to stay. The second bathroom is quite small and the toilets seats in both bathrooms had lidless toilet seats like they have in public restrooms. It left one less place to put things and we were always afraid of something falling in. The "half bathroom" is a sink in the bedroom with the queen bed, but it was handy to have. The living and dining areas were spacious and very well furnished. The condo was conveniently located with a short walk to town. It was downhill which meant uphill going back, but there are free buses which go all over Breckenridge, one of which stops just steps from the condo. We let that do the work of going back up. We spent a week there and truly enjoyed it.

Great space and good location

This condo was perfect for our group of 7. The bedrooms and living spaces were spacious. The equipment area was perfect for our gear after a day of skiing. We also loved having a washer and dryer in the unit. The location is good with the Snowflake lift directly across the street. You do have to still catch another lift at Peak 8 base to get to a major ski run. We visited the last week of season and there was still ample snow on the run by the condo, however a bit slushy, as expected. The condo is dated in the kitchen and bathroom areas. The ice maker was not working and the property manager brought us a bag of ice to use during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again.

Perfect ski trip!

We arrived Tuesday night, March 27 and checked out today, April 1. The unit was on the ground floor, and you could see skiers go by from the front window! Right across the street was the snowflake lift- you really don’t need a car here, we walked or took the free shuttle to town and groceries. The house had most things we needed for cooking, they could use a big pot for pasta. You will find filters, spices, paper towels, toilet paper, we didn’t think to purchase foil, Saran Wrap and baggies, that would have been nice to leave in the house. We couldn’t figure out how to use the keyless entry code to the front door, but the back was easy. Location was perfect, house was not fancy, but clean and fit our group of three adults and four teenage boys well. We cooked breakfast, and came in for lunch while skiing. There are two renal shops just out the front door- that was really handy when the boys wanted a tune up. Love Breckenridge, we had a fabulous time in this property! Go to Angels Hollow and Fatty’s for great food!!

Breckinridge vaca

The condo was perfect for our family's needs. The location was great, being close to walking trails and within walking distance of the Main Street. If I were to offer a complaint, it would be that the thermostat did not work. The master bedroom was very warm and the windows did not open. A nice addition would be a ceiling fan. My kids did complain that the direct tv did not work well. It didn't bother me as we weren't there to watch tv. All in all, I would definitely rent again if we were to return to Breckenridge.
