About this property

Beautiful private oasis!

Casa Palma Grande is an open concept living oasis. There are two separate bedrooms with bathrooms that can comfortably sleep a family or two couples. The rooms are always rented together so you experience privacy in the middle of the city.

Between the bedrooms, there is an open kitchen situated beneath a beautiful rustic palapa roof with plenty of space to entertain in the oversized dining area. The property is surrounded by a privacy wall that encases a beautiful yard filled with local vegetation and fruit trees.

We built our home slowly over many years adding special touches to make an authentic Mexican oasis.

We live in Cabo and we love the event. We loved walking to all the restaurants and being able to walk to shopping & breakfast. A beautiful tranquil getaway. Love the flora & fauna.

One of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed!

We absolutely loved our stay here! We walked through the gate to find the most charming little oasis right in the middle of town. The owners provided everything we needed. We loved all the outdoor living space, and enclosed bedrooms! The location was perfect for walking to restaurants, bars, stores, etc. Veronica was very quick to reply with any questions we had. The dogs weren’t as big a problem as we anticipated. They only barked for a short while each evening, and then quieted down. I would highly recommend staying here!

Lovely palapa style living

If you are sun-starved this is absolutely perfect. An enclosed, 40' x 80' multi-level patio with mature, gorgeous plantings on all levels. A 20' x 40' palapa with a well-stocked kitchen a dining area and living area. Lovely breeze, sunshine all day long. Nicely sized bedrooms and en suite baths fully enclosed. 3 grocery stores within a 1 1/2 block walk. Fresh tortillas, fish and bread within 4 blocks. Ask Margarita who lives next door. She's very kind and helpful. Mosquitoes at night. Bring bug spray.

Best oasis in Todos Santos

We really enjoyed our stay at Veronica's home. The home is walking distance to wonderful places and eat, drink and shop. It home was clean, comfortable and offered everything we needed. The neighbor's car alarm at 5am was a bit annoying but such things are to be expected when staying in a home in the middle of town. I would definitely stay here again car alarms and all.

Lovely garden setting with mature plants and a great central location

The outdoor setting was really lovely and for me the location was perfect. It def could be buggy and windy at times, but the bedrooms are enclosed and very comfy. Good wifi, outdoor kitchen, great communication with the owners. Thanks again!

Excellent location, very comfortable, outdoor kitchen and sitting area with beautiful garden/patio

We really enjoyed our stay here---- excellent location close to downtown, restaurants, grocery stores. Bedroom/bathrooms were very comfortable. We got a lot of use out of the outdoor kitchen patio and garden. Great place to cook, eat, read, and relax. The owner, Veronica, was very responsive and helpful with everything we needed. Also, Todos Santos is a great place to visit---people are so friendly and welcoming. We were here for 2 weeks in January and the weather was excellent----high 70's low 80's almost every day.

Great location with a few quirks

Overall we had a great time but we did encounter a few quirks in our stay. The location is great, just a short walk to most restaurants and we felt safe. Communication was great leading up to the trip. Once we arrived, we did have an issue with both the toilets running constantly. We told the owners and one was fixed but the other was unusable during most of our stay. It wasn’t a huge deal since we just used the other toilet. We are only a husband and wife with 2 young kids but a non-functioning toilet would have been a bigger issue say with 2 couples. Secondly, the bedroom doors lock behind you if you pull the door all the way closed which means you have to carry the keys around constantly which is annoying. There are many level changes throughout the property which was tricky for our 1.5 year old. The shower heads need to be cleaned of mineral deposits because in the shower of the smaller room especially, the water sprays out sideways from some of the shower head holes. The kitchen sink has a loose faucet that was dripping water. Several lights were out and I couldn’t locate additional bulbs. We loved the sandy area which is great for kids to play. There is a little plastic house with lots of toys that kept our 4 and 1.5 year olds entertained. The house is all outdoors except for the bedrooms and bathrooms. We liked that except it happened to be unusually cold while we were there. Overall we did enjoy our stay but there are a few details that the owners should repair in the near future.

VERY PRIVATE!

When we opened the door to this property the first thing out of our mouth was "WOW!" You walk through the door to a BEAUTIFUL garden, open/outdoor kitchen living room and dining area. Each room is big and very well decorated! The beds are VERY comfortable! The bathroom is decent size and very nice, great shower! Walking distance to anywhere downtown Todos Santos. There is a brewery just a half a block away. The only downfall is the barking dogs at night, but the owner has ear plugs provided. There is ALOT of steps that lead to casitas, lower garden, up to the bedroom or down in the other one, than down to the room and up to the bathroom, so you get a bit of exercise too! Plus it would be really nice if there was a "water place", like small cold tub to cool off in. Thank you Veronica and Margarita for this beautiful place!

Oasis in the middle of town

This place is exactly as described and pictured. It is not right for everyone but for those who have the spirit of adventure it’s a nice location. If you are considering this place keep in mind that you will hear some barking dogs at night or maybe a rooster or two on the early hours. But the location is great and is walking distance to most things in Todos Santos. The space itself is quite large and you can easily spread out and enjoy yourself. There are several steps up-and-down in different locations and so this place is not appropriate for somebody with mobility issues. Shannon and Veronica were easy to deal with. I recommend this place for anyone looking for something out of the ordinary.

Lovely home but ...

Don't stay here in the summer months - way too hot without airconditioning! Be warned its a little bit like indoor camping. Although the bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely clean and comfortable - the outdoor open plan living whilst cooler during the heat of the day you couldn't relax in the evening unless you're happy to be feasted on by mosquitoes! Hot water took forever to come through and only lasted 2 minutes - which was ok on the hot days but sometimes a warm shower is welcome. There wasn't a water dispenser of any sort - you had to tip over the huge bottle which was a pretty dodgy way of getting a drink of water! A jug would have been nice so you could fill it and put it in the fridge for a freshing cold drink of water. Or to fill ice trays! Overall I was disappointed with our stay and would find it hard to recommend.

Want an amazing place?

We walked in and said to one another, "Wow, we didn't realize it was going to be this great." We left a week later muttering, "Oh, how I wish we were staying." We took pictures of the property to send to our friends. We spent every day until noon lounging and reading - because it was as good as going to the beach. We walked to great restaurants, hot dogs, views, neighborhoods, and the grocery store. The Mom who lives there was kind and helpful. The neighbors sweet. The beds soft and cool. And the overall experience a kind of informal luxury that's hard to beat. Yes, we'd go back.

Great stay all around

We were there late Feb/early Mar 2017. The place was fantastic in every way. Great location, amazing outdoor kitchen and living area. Clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms. The kitchen has everything you would ever need. The one thing that would put it over the top is if there were some plastic plates, bowls, and cups for kids! We would absolutely stay there next time in Todos Santos.

An beautiful place to stay in the heart of Todos Santos

Veronica and Shannon's home is an awesome place to stay! They have clearly put a lot of thought and energy into making their home a beautiful and special place. One of the things that we loved about staying there was that a lot of the living space is outside. The kitchen and main living space are under a large palapa surrounded by lush and gorgeous plants. There was also a great sandy place for our three-year-old to play. They had lots of kids toys available which was awesome. The kitchen is well-equipped and we had everything we needed to make some great meals. The casitas where the bedrooms are are very cozy and stayed cool during the day. The beds were comfortable and we had all of the towels, blankets, etc. that we needed. The location of the house couldn't be better. It is a few blocks walk to some amazing food and shops. It is really a great place to stay if you want to experience life in the town of Todos Santos. The beach is a quick 5-10 minute drive away. Finally, Veronica was very friendly and responsive when making the reservations. Her mother lives next door and was also very helpful in getting us settled into the house. We would love to stay here again if we have the chance to return to Todos Santos! Thanks Veronica and Shannon!

Amazing property! "Everything you need!"

We stayed here for a week in mid July and absolutely loved it! The property was very homie and had everything you needed to make it a home away from home for the week. The rooms were nicely furnished, comfortable and supplied plenty of bath towels. There was 5 of us staying here and it was very comfortable. It had all the necessities to be able to make your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Big fridge, coffee maker, oven, water dispenser, all utensils - dishes, cutlery, cups, glasses, frying pans and more. The garden was beautiful. It had a bunch of mango trees which were ripe for picking and very tasty. It had a tropical feel with lots of beautiful plants and was well maintained. It had a sand pit and playhouse for the kids which was great and an outdoor toilet which was quite nice for those hot summer nights. The La Casita was very homie, an open style kitchen and dining area where you could sit with family and friends and socialise very comfortably. They had a lot of neat and imaginative decorative pieces which really set this place apart from your ordinary hotel room or guesthouse. It felt like they really put in a great effort to make their guests feel at home but yet succeeded in creating a very artsy and unique lodging experience. The owners also provided fans to cool off and each room was equipped with ceiling fans which were much appreciated after a long day exploring Todos Santos's local shopping, cuisine, culture and Off-road Can-aming with Black Sheep Motorsports which was awesome. I would 100% come back and stay here again next time we're in Todos Santos! Great location in the middle of town and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you and hope to see ye soon again!

Beautiful outdoor space

I LOVED this property. It's located right in town although once you're inside the gates you feel like you're in your own personal green space. Green vines and beautiful white flowers surround the entrance as you walk through. The kitchen and living space is all outside and was stocked with everything we needed. Beside the living area is a beautiful, well kept garden full of exotic trees, tropical plants, and a stone path leading through to the two large Casitas in the back. The rooms are big in size and both have long concrete benches with pillows and a big dresser. Each Casita also has its own bathroom. The water pressure in the shower is really good and we could get cold and hot water throughout the day which is a luxury not always found in Todos Santos. The location was amazing with everything you'd need only a few blocks away. Every morning we'd walk the 2 blocks to the smoothie bar where you can get the freshest fruit drinks I've ever tasted. The taco shop on the corner was a big hit as well. My only complaint is they advertise it sleeps up to 6 which was not the case. There's 1 king and 1 queen bed and a very small couch in the living area which was definitely not suitable for sleeping. She did bring us an extra mattress to accommodate our 5th guest which worked out fine. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful space and a great location in Todos Santos. Thanks so much for accommodating us! We had a great holiday!!

Perfect for us!

We stayed here for 3 nights over spring break with our two kids and it was great. I loved that it was walking distance to shops and restaurants and that you could pull your car into the property behind a gate. The tropical foliage was beautiful to come back to after a day of sightseeing and the beds were very comfortable. If you like unique places, I would recommend staying here! That being said, if you are unaccustomed to the tropics and cannot stand an occasional cockroach, it may not be the perfect place for you. Shannon and Veronica made the rental process easy and we had everything we needed. The boogie boards they have there for guests to use were a hit with our two kids at the beach. They also had a cooler available. There were plenty of towels (beach towels too), and the outdoor living room was a relaxing place to sit and read with an iced cold beer in your hand! It may be cost-prohibitive right now, but Shannon and Veronica, I would recommend considering adding a small "dip" pool over against the back wall. I think that would be a draw for renters and it would look absolutely beautiful! Maybe in the future? Anyway, we were VERY glad we picked this unique and fun place to stay and our kids loved it too!

Charming and private place.

We just spent 5 days in Shannon and Veronica's place with our 2 young daughters and we do not regret our decision! This place has a large courtyard with plants and hideaways for the girls. The owners left some toys, and all you need to go to the beach (umbrella, cooler, buggy board) The bakery and mini supermarket are one block away. We managed to find delicious local restaurants on "Collegio Militar"! We went in the mornings to the beach "Los Cerritos" (my husband took a surf lesson!) and went one day to The Tecolote" beach north of La Paz to take a tour to the Espiritu Santo island. What a relaxing stay!

Great palce - Great Location

My wife and I just spent 5 wonderful days here and really enjoyed our stay. The property is located off the main drag on a nice residential street; within walking distance to everything. The place was super clean and the grounds were well kept. It was very relaxing to be able to just lounge around, read a book and drink a beer, all in the comfort of our little oasis. Or should I say big oasis, as we felt a little guilty that we had so much room for just to people. My wife and I are already planning to come back next year if possible. Also, the owners were very easy and friendly to work with.

Beautiful oasis in great location

My family of 5 spent a week here and loved it. We are both gardeners so we decided and to spend a bit of extra money to try this place. It is a very well loved and thoughtfully designed little world. Everyday we noticed new details that Veronica and Shannon had included in building this space. We wanted to be within walking distance to town and this was perfect. It was on a quiet side street but less than a five minute walk to my favorite cafe. There is a also a great bakery, grocery store and amazing icecream shop within a block. It is not near the beach but we had a car and the off street parking was nice. (You can't really be close to town and the beach- pick one or the other.) The living is a bit rustic as it is mostly outdoors. This was a plus for us as we love being outside and it was a safe place for our kids to play and explore because it is enclosed in secure walls. Again, this may not be the best solution for everyone but it was absolutely perfect for us.

GREAT spot in town.

We loved this place because the location was perfect. Did not need a car as you could walk to town for anything. Shopping, restaurants, home made ice cream! It is nice for a family or 2 couples. The 2 casitas make it very private, yet you are all close in one place. It does feel like you are in a garden jungle. I will come back again and again.
