LOCATION

The studio is perfectly positioned with excellent public transport links to central London, the Eurostar and airports.

The main feature about this place is its location, the area couldn't be better; it is one of the most desirable, well-sought, green, affluent areas of London.

Belsize Park, a safe, family and culture filled area, is nestled between trendy Primrose Hill, lively Camden Lock and market and upmarket Hampstead village. It is an ideal place from where you can explore London in all its glory and still have plenty of space and a good night’s rest.
5 minutes walk is 'Springhealth' leisure center which can offer you 'payasugym' membership, It's agreat local gym which has a cresh. you are likely to bump in to many of our local celebs, including Helena Bonham-Carter & Chris Martin.

The area, although only short bus ride from the centre of town, has a charming village atmosphere, with the busy high street and a lovely range of local shops, restaurants, cafes, charming pubs, bars, a health and beauty spa, the Hampstead theatre (Swiss Cottage), a boutique cinema (the Everyman Belsize Park) and the Imax cinema (Odeon Swiss Cottage) just around the corner. Along with historical landmarks to visit within walking distance, including Keats’ House (home of the poet) and Kenwood House (as featured in the film Notting Hill).

A short walk down the hill in Camden there is London’s most famous street market as well as a great range of bars, pubs, restaurants and gig venues, including the Roundhouse that hosts theatre and music performances regularly.

In the cobbled mews’ of Hampstead village there are a wide range of shops including teashops, the Hampstead Antiques Emporium for those who like to go antiquing, fashion shops and another boutique cinema (the Everyman Hampstead), all a short walk from the flat.

Best of all is the locality to three of London’s most famous parks. The vast green expanse of Hampstead Heath is only a stone’s throw away with superb views over London and swimming ponds for hot days. The wonderful Primrose Hill, featuring a panoramic view of the city, is 15mins walk away. With Regent's Park the other side of the hill, encompassing London Zoo, a variety of gardens, sports fields, and the renowned outdoor theatre for summer performance.

As you can imagine, it's a great place for celebrity spotting Local residents include Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, of the band 'Coldplay', Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and many others including the 'Primrose Hill' Set.

LOCAL PUBS

HOLLY BUSH

“One of London's favourite pubs, The Holly Bush has been untouched by the ravages of time and has a captivating old-world charm. Bought from the estate of artist George Romney around 1800 it was turned into a public house and, as the headquarters of the Save Hampstead Heath Society, has played an integral part in the history of Hampstead Heath.”

SPANIARDS INN

“As one of London's oldest pubs, The Spaniards has earned itself a place in the history books, quite literally. Dickens immortalised it in The Pickwick Papers, and it's said that Keats wrote Ode to a Nightingale here over a claret or two. Indeed, our characterful 16th century inn is a romantic idyll in itself, with a few tales of its own to tell (Dick Turpin was apparently born here, need we say more?). A country pub in the city, we boast a garden grand enough to rival the great Heath itself, roaring fires in the winter and plenty of intriguing nooks in which to muse over our superlative drinks menu.”

THE OLD WHITE BEAR

“The interior has been restored to create a stylish yet informal ambience: 19th century English pine dressers, tables and the central bar, colourful tile tabletops and floor area and warm fires. Add the final ingredient of friendly, efficient service and the welcoming “home from home” feel is complete.”

LANSDOWNE

“When the Lansdowne’s doors first opened back in 1992, the aim was simple; to bring quality pub eating to Primrose Hill. Although no-one knew the term at the time, in 17 years that have passed, The Lansdowne has become one of the stalwarts of the gastro-pub scene. Our blackboard menu changes daily and our vibrant Mediterranean cuisine is inspired. Best of all, The Lansdowne has that unmistakable feel of something traditional; large wooden tables, high ceilings, a roaring fire in winter.”

Winter visit

We had a great stay at this flat over Christmas and the New Year. It is a great value. Access to the tube was really easy, and we enjoyed exploring the pubs and restaurants within walking distance (we highly recommend The George). The only things to note are that the shower is very small and washer/dryer combo can only handle tiny loads. Don't run it at night because the spin cycle is quite noisy. The bed needs fixing. The left side would collapse at random intervals and need to be put back together. But overall this is a very comfortable and convenient flat. I would rent it again the next time we visit London!

Just enough space, compact yet able to move around, great location just what we needed!

Cute historic charm of this great little Flat, we loved the historic period fireplace in our room, comfortable nice sized Bathroom- nice & close, good working t.v & very comfortable large bed with large windows that overlooked st.Easily walkable to tube station up the st & lots of cafes, restaurants or convenient stores nearby. Surrounded by safe walkable neighborhoods. Some construction on st--but no sound or no bother to us, working hours must've been day only while we were out touring.. Was good 1st place in London we stayed, not far from Abby rd & a good spot to tour from. Our Taxi got us there little early but Antonia( bldg mgr) & her spouse accommodated us well checking if flat upstrs was ready( which it was early) & my lg piece of luggage Antonias husband carried up the strs for helping us arrive- Much Appreciated, as we were worn out from our long flight. Everything in the kitchen helpful , small good working fridge, French press coffee maker , had a washing machine but not needed as our 1st place would have been good later In stay. Highly Recommended this great area,& comfortable cute flat, Thank you to Emily, Tanya for great communication leading up to this stay as we booked it during beginning of Covid pandemic , all along great Communication checking if stay would still occur;, Thank you for helping us start our Beautiful vacation out in London so easily & Comfortably. Much Appreciation to Antonia & Husband as well for help at check in Arrival. Highly recommend.Cheers~ Tammy& Steve

Great location, needs updating. Bathroom was filthy, bed was less than cofortable

Pros. Appreciated we were able to get in early. Very central location to tube, restaurants, and the quiet area, not to be found in many areas of this non stop city. Camden Town is really worth the visit, great spot for amazing eats at reasonable prices ,about 5 pounds, food stalls offering food for international tastings. The market holds some great bargains !Price of flat was reasonable. Nice appliances, and well outfitted. Cons: flat is getting very tired, the shower was a non issue ,in comparison to the mold, rust and previous guests hair and dust that had accumulated over a period of time in the shower and baseboards. This could be remedied with a good scrubbing.Carpet needs replacing up the staircase and is pieced together in the flat. Had 3 wonderful days discovering city, would choose this area again, not this property. We’ve used VRBO many times in Europe and North America, it’s the first time the standards haven’t been met.

Belsize - It is all relative

Pros: Convenient location to the underground transportation, food market, and some very nice restaurants. Cons: Located quite a distance from central London. Spacious Studio is questionable because we had to live out of our suitcases as the closet was too small. The bathroom was roomy except that the shower stall must have been 18 inches square, and the room smelled of urine. Efficient kitchen, but no dishwasher as listed. Studio 10 is on the 2nd floor from street level and no lift. The studio was clean but did not smell fresh.

Location, Location! Great neighborhood, easy to get to get around. Small studio, quite efficient.

Great location for visiting London. The apartment is a little smaller than it appeared in the photos. A sofa bed was added in front of the bed (after the photos www taken)which made the room slightly crammed. The shower was very tiny and had no shower caddy to place shampoo, soap etc. It was a challenge to reach for soap without hitting the water controls and getting cold or hot water all of a sudden. The Ikea clothes closet had sufficient hangers but the unit was not deep enough to keep the hangers straight and close the doors. The bed was comfortable. Wifi worked fine. Tiny TV was sufficient.Kitchen area was well equipped, but missed a coffee maker. A Nespresso Machine sat on a shelf in the entrance to the building? Apart from these details, it was a cute studio that just needed a few 'design' changes.

Wonderful Apartment, Great Location

This apartment is a great place to stay in London. It is very nicely decorated and has everything you need. Communication in setting up the reservation was easy and owners were very responsive. The apartment is only about 2 blocks from the subway station, about a 5 to 10 minute walk. Everything in the apartment worked well and the one very small issue we had was taken care of the same day I reported it. The bed is roomy and very comfortable. The shower is a little tight if you are a large person but not an issue. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment if staying in London. From the subway station you can get to anywhere you want to go quickly and easily. I would certainly stay here again.

Excellent location and very accommodating

Emily and Phil were very helpful and understanding with our arrival time. Having stayed in this neighbourhood prior to here I can say that this is an excellent location and is very quiet. There is everything you need within a short walk. The suite is tidy with a very small shower. We were provided with milk and a bottle of cold water for our arrival. The water was a nice touch with it being SO hot during our stay. The bed was quite comfortable and having a fan was also helpful.

All was, as listed in profile on apartment. Found it clean and comfortable. Close to shops, tube, ATMS,etc ....the only minor thing ... Was desperate for a cuppa on arrival and no milk and sugar jar was empty. Just thought it would have some like most short stay places. Have left plenty of sugar there now

London in October

The price is right for this somewhat "spacious" flat. It was clean and comfortable (except very small shower) for our three day stay. It is in an "up and coming" London neighborhood. Property manager was friendly and helpful, though we did not meet Emily. We soon learned the "tube" and got around easily for first-time London tourists. Would consider renting this flat again.

A PERFECT SANCTUARY WHILST VISITING LONDON

A large, clean and comfortable room, literally minutes away from the tube and bus lines. Everything you need is provided, even a hair dryer. Emily provides little niceties that makes a simple room become home. The first thing that struck my wife and I as we lay down to sleep the first night was how quiet it was. A sharp contrast to the hubbub of downtown London and a perfect sanctuary. Belsize is one stop away from Hampstead Heath with its commanding views of London and quaint shops. Downtown London is less that fifteen minutes away by tube and I would recommend using it during the week to avoid the crush of pedestrians and the slow progress of the buses. We will be returning to London and this will be the place I can hopefully book during ourstay. Thank you Emily for everything - Marty & Nancy

Highly recommended

My month long stay in this studio was fantastic. Emily is a generous host who is keen to welcome you and help with any problems or questions you might have (and her husband, Brad, is very helpful, too). The studio is exactly as described, even a little bigger than the photos suggest. It is extremely well equipped and comfortable. Its location is ideal, close to the tube, buses, restaurants and a supermarket - all the essentials really. Access to central London is quick and easy. The only caution I would sound is that the shower stall is pretty small. However, I can heartily recommend Emily's studio to you.

An enjoyable stay in a great location

We spent a week in this Belsize Park studio in early December. Having previously stayed in hotels before I was delighted to find a self-catering option in the area. The studio is tastefully decorated, very well furnished and equipped as described, and is in a great situation a few minutes walk from the tube station, an easy link to central London and all it has to offer. Hampstead Heath is a few minutes away for a relaxing walk with wonderful views, and some good upmarket cafés.The owner lives nearby and is available to help if necessary. I plan to be back for another stay next year.

Very nice, comfortable apartment in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood.

The apartment had been recently renovated and was bright and contemporary. While it was a studio apartment there was sufficient space to feel roomy. The kitchen was better equipped than many one bedroom apartments we have stayed in. The owners were there to meet us with the key and to point out the amenities and to ensure that all was in working order. They also followed up during our one week visit to make sure everything was OK. While the location is not within Central London it is in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood and It is also only a very short walk to the Underground station, so all the tourist sites are quickly accessible. The plus is not being stuck in a 'touristy' neighbourhood with its associated hype and prices. I do not need to point out that rental rates are also far more reasonable. There are numerous restaurants in proximity to the apartment. My husband and I would definitely stay here again
