Great Stay!

Perfect location, nice unit, great skiing. We used both the Murphy bed and the pull out sofa, and it worked well for everyone. Kitchen knives are a bit dull, but otherwise everything was perfect!

Comfortable condo with easy access to the main base.

Overall very good. A couple minor cleaning issues but very comfortable and a great location. Will definitely consider again next time I’m in big sky.

Not the greatest stay.

The biggest issue is that nowhere in the run up to staying do they tell you that you need a hang tag to park in the gated lot you’re supposed to park in. So I burned half our first day chasing that rabbit around. Finally got it 12 hours after we asked for one. In addition the place looks nice but the heater basically has no meaningful controls. So no matter the setting you’re either getting cooked or freezing. I think it’s due to the thermostat being relatively close to some very drafty windows. The pull out couch next to said drafty windows also has a severe funky smell. The location is great but I’d rather just deal with a real hotel at big sky moving forward. Huge PITA of a stay.

Excellent Stay at Shoshone!

We decided just a few weeks prior that we wanted to do Christmas in the Mountains. After looking at several resorts, including Aspen, Steamboat, and Jackson Hole, we decided on Big Sky as it was somewhere we had never been. I can honestly say after staying many places all over Colorado and New Mexico, it is our new favorite snowboarding destination! First, the mountain itself is enormous, with riding available for all skill levels and it was not nearly as busy as most resorts in Colorado. We never waited more than 5 minutes to get on a lift. Additionally, the heated/covered lifts were awesome on the couple of days where it was snowing hard. The people working the mountain and in every restaurant and store we went visited were really great with positive, friendly attitudes. We absolutely loved the condo we stayed in. It was very clean upon arrival and we were able to check in 4 hours early. Although it was only a 1 bedroom, there was plenty of room for me, my wife and 14 year old son. the Murphy bed in the decent sized living room was so much more comfortable than a pull out sofa and everyone was able to get a goos nights sleep. We had a great view and the location was perfect. As it was only a few minutes walk from the lift, we were able to head back to the room for lunch each day and whenever Mom needed a break ;) There were also several options for eating and shopping in the village, so we really never needed to leave. Such a great place and I highly recommend!
