Welcome to Casa Blanca at Lake Arenal. This beautiful stately home is a perfect home away from home for groups of up to 9 people. Nestled in the heart of Tronadora, this is the ultimate serene retreat back to nature. With two separate units on 3/4 acres of land, it’s an ideal base for multi-generational families who want to enjoy a Costa Rican stay together, yet still enjoy some private time. You won’t tire of the views of Lake Arenal and Arenal Volcano, or the sound of nature in the trees.

Allowing others to use our homes allows us to travel around the country. We may not be onsite during your visit but are available by text and telephone anytime. We have helpers in the community should a need arise that requires someone onsite.

As part of a gated community, you can also enjoy the on-site clubhouse, communal pool, gym and spa. Locally, there’s also pickleball, kayaking, boating, horseback riding, biking, hot springs, and river rafting within easy reach – there really is something for everyone here.

You will have the entire home and lower guest suite to yourself and access to all of the Clubhouse and community amenities. There are 2 separate driveways with this home and enough parking for up to 4 cars.
The community clubhouse boasts Breakfast offerings every morning for purchase. A bar for enjoying a beverage (no outside alcohol is permitted at the clubhouse). The infinity pool with small circular conversation pool (not heated) overlooks both the lake and the jungle below. Also featured at the clubhouse is a slate pool table that converts to a ping pong table and media area with comfortable sectional sofa for lounging while the adults enjoy the billiards.

This home enjoys a main floor master suite with King-size bed and ensuite bath. There is an additional half-bath on the same floor. A loft upstairs with reclining sofa and chairs, overlooks the main floor and also has a queen size bed with pull out queen size trundle. With a separate entry and separate driveway there is a full guest suite with king-size bed and ensuite bath on the lower level walkout.
2 King size beds and 2 queen size beds and the availability of up to 2 additional rollaway cots allows this home to accommodate up to 10 guests in total.

A vehicle is recommended should you decide to visit us. However, we have had guests who came without one, and we can recommend driving services to get you out and about as needed.

We are only 3 miles from the picturesque town of Tronadora, with the prettiest park in Guanacaste. Here, you can find everything you need, including a grocery store, butcher, bakery, liquor, two restaurants, and a bar for those looking for nightlife.

It is an easy 1.5-hour drive from Liberia Airport and 3 hours from San Jose. If you arrive in San Jose with less than 3 hours of daylight, we recommend staying near the airport and getting a fresh start in the morning. Most roads are paved but not well-marked, with many twists and turns.
