Gather Together – Stratton Mtn Luxury & Comfort with a View

5 BR + Den, 3.5 BA House – Mountain Views, Sauna, Wood Burning Fireplace, Ski Shuttle – Sleeps 13!

Gather everyone under the same roof and enjoy the very best that Vermont has to offer. This home boast views of Stratton Mountain throughout the large 4,200 sq/ft floorplan that brings the entire group together with a sprawling living space while providing comfort of 5 bedrooms for everyone’s space of their own. A true gem in the prestigious High Meadow neighborhood serviced by the complimentary Stratton ski shuttle, this home offers everything to make your winter getaway memorable and enjoyable.

Enter through the front door for a warm and welcoming greeting as the eye-level two-sided fireplace lets you and your guests know you have arrived somewhere special. Up the slate and stone stairs, you enter into the heart of the home with vaulted ceilings and large wooden beams connecting the living room, kitchen, and dining room for a most memorable gathering space the entire group will enjoy. The woodburning fireplace creates the perfect ambiance as the large windows and wraparound glass flood the space with natural light and bring in the beauty of the surrounding mountains.

The kitchen acts as the command center which overlooks the open space from the center of the helm-like range stove. No home chef is left out as they prepare breakfast to fuel the days activities or work up an evening feist. This chef’s kitchen is well appointed and stocked with everything including cookware, serving ware, stemware, high-end appliances, seasonings, spices and other kitchen necessities. Gathering around the expansive kitchen island to discuss the plans for the day or enjoy conversation and a drink. The adjoining dining room sits 10 comfortably with space for 4 more at the island.

The primary bedroom down the hall is separated by a half flight of stairs and offers solitude and comforts you’ll (almost) want to share as the vaulted ceilings, gas fireplace, mountain views and large layout for a relaxing escape complete with ensuite bathroom.

Upstairs, the den offers the best mountain views where a wall of windows looks on to Stratton Mountain. The 70 inch smart-TV, wet bar, wine fridge, desk, antler chandelier, mountain views and sauna make this cozy and versatile. The bunk room has 4 twin beds and is a great space for kids or an entire family. Down the hall which overlooks the living room, three bedrooms and two full baths provide everyone with their own escape.

The ski room and entry connects the two car garage and secondary entrance for convenience in and out as you unload and get ready free from the cold and snow. A washer and dryer round out this home which was designed for hosting large groups for winter fun.

Amazing week

The host, the house, the location and the weather/mountain all made for a great week. Six adults/parents and three children ranging from 3 1/2, 21 months and 8 weeks all had a great bedroom and living space. The host, Gavin, was helpful whenever needed. The views of a Stratton were a constant.

Room to gather

Our party of 8 (including 2 kids) had plenty of room to rest and relax after hitting the slopes. The common space (living room/kitchen/dining room) is somehow even larger than it appears from the pictures. Location made it easy to get out and get the kids to those early ski lessons each day. Cleaning could be more rigorous (especially in the guest bathrooms & bedrooms). The property manager assisted to the best of his ability when the central heat went out on our last night there, immediately dispatching a tech, and making us whole after the problem proved too much to fix before our departure.

February school vacation

On arrival plow job was horrible had to contact manager to have plow come back out.Nothing was shoveled exit door near garage door could hardly open if it was an emergency and u had to exit quick good luck only access was threw garage door which master bedroom is above so if letting any pets out early u r now awake. Firewood was at exit door covered in snow so has to be brought in through garage not by the door it’s near for days to dry out u would think it would be covered or something. Heat system is awful house was freezing cold some kind of electric units on walls that do nothing and space heaters everywhere whenI called manager he said feel free to leave space heaters on all the time I’m sure everyone knows that’s not a good idea u could feel the wind blowing threw every window the shades were moving no remotes to close top shades from the moon and lights outside in master right in your face while trying to sleep gas fireplace didn’t work in master. Nice mudroom for ski stuff but couldn’t keep boots or clothing in no heat in room anywhere u would be freezing on your first run. Top floor shower leaked into pantry after 2 showers u could tell it’s happened before from the ring around light fixture where the water was leaking from.Kitchen was a mess everything just piled in behind doors not enough silverware for 8 never mind 12. House is in despite need of some repairs and cleaning.Did call manager and tell him all the things mentioned .Should of gotten some money back.
