This property is heavily overpriced. It's a tiny spot in a planned community where each unit faces a common driveway. You can't open any of the blinds because anyone can see directly into the unit, so it remains dark. When I arrived, the heater had broken. The manager offered me 30% off plus some extra blankets for the inconvenience. I had to pull up the Glendale city code that shows it's illegal to rent a property without heat in order to get them to agree to refund some of my money (and even then, it took constant nagging to get them to actually do it). You may be thinking it's LA, no heat no big deal. It was winter with lows of 41 degrees at night and these old buildings have no insulation, so it was quite uncomfortably cold inside the unit. They finally brought me a space heater (which they asked me not to run that much because it would blow the fuse!). Aside from that fiasco, it's a pretty bare bones spot - nothing nice or cozy about it. The kitchen garbage can is big enough for a mouse, there's no salt or pepper or tea or coffee - or anything that would make a person feel comfortable. It's one step up from pitching a tent by the LA river.
