Truly Terrible
My four-night stay started poorly when access codes to the building were not sent 30 minutes prior to check-in, as promised. I had to reach out and wait on hold for 20 minutes, during the rain, to gain entry. The property itself is fine. Nothing extraordinary, but this was a business trip and didn't require anything special. What it did require, however, was functioning internet in order to get work done. I had no internet for the entire 4-night stay. None. The local manager's initial suggestions: use my phone as a hotspot, go to a coffee shop, or go up to the roof to use the public wifi access. He daily promised updated information, and daily I had to reach out to him to receive it. By the end, he revealed the reason for no internet: the local property manager hadn't paid for service that month. I pointed out that I hadn't been able to do any of the work I needed to accomplish, nor make use of the smart tv, and asked for a partial refund. The local manager promised me 10/day refunded, which I explained was insufficient recompense for what I experienced. I never heard back from him.Now, as I look at my credit card statement, I see I have been charged the full amount. Calling VRBO does nothing as they claim all issues related to refunds must be handled through the property. Calling the property does nothing as they claim all issues must be handled through VRBO. Do not stay at this property. Despite its great location, it was an unresolved daily hassle.
