About this property
Cozy Bungalow in Historic West Hillsborough
This cozy two bedroom 1 bath bungalow, built in 1946, is an old mill house "gem" in historic West Hillsborough. Freshly painted, very clean, and lovingly decorated with modern touches and comfy furnishings throughout. The space is bright and airy inside and situated on a quiet private lane within walking distance to Gold Park, River Walk, Nash St. Tavern, Village Diner, Hillsborough BBQ, Pizza and Whitt's Frozen Custard. Just minutes from Downtown.
Built in 1946 as a three room mill house, and added onto over time, the house has a good vibe and great charm. The rooms are not large, but ample for two or three adults, or a family of 4. Two windows in each of the bedrooms, living room and kitchen provide lots of natural light and views of yard, trees and garden from this warm and comfortable space.
The entire house, yard and parking are available to guests. Concrete driveway accommodates 2 cars. No Trailers, no large trucks. Please park on concrete only. Do not park on the grass. Check out discounts for weekly and monthly stays. Cooking essentials, bedding, and towels and washer/dryer are included.
I am just 10 minutes down the road and am available by phone or text to answer any questions or offer assistance as needed.
West Hillsborough is a wonderfully quaint "hilly" neighborhood. We have a variety of types and sizes of homes with beautiful cottage gardens. Minimal traffic makes It a great walking neighborhood. Murray St. Park playground is just around the corner an the passing of a train a few times a day, a couple of blocks over, adds to the charm. Within walking distance, Nash Street and Gold Park, offer entertainment, trails, courts, fields, a dog park, and a playground. From Gold Park, the Riverwalk, a beautiful paved pathway along the Eno River is lovely 30 minute walk to downtown. There you'll find galleries, gift shops, eateries, live music, bars and coffee shops.
The Hillsborough Farmers Market at Margaret Lane Pavilion is open year round 9-12 on Saturdays.
Occaneechi Village, just behind the pavilion, commemorates the original home of the Occaneechi Band of the Siponi Nation, the first inhabitants here.
For information on music and art events check: visithillsboroughnc and the Hillsborough Arts Center website.
