Two Thumbs up!

It was simple, easy and with a mountain view just perfect for a stay in Philipsburg. Walking distance from historic downtown and a porch we used for the cool morning air reading and coffee. The owner went the extra effort to Text message ahead of our arrival the directions and information. Super pleased!

Love Philipsburg

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was awesome. Reminded me of the many mining community homes in which I’ve lived and visited. This is a great place to experience Philipsburg.

Stay

Outside looked shabby, tall weeds and grass. Inside was neat and tidy. Enjoyed our time there. Beds were very comfortable. Cooking facilities were good . Few to no places to eat in town.

Clean, Simple and Key Location

Clean, simple and great location. Provides all the necessities as a base camp while enjoying the outdoors throughout the day. Within walking distance of downtown Philipsburg to enjoy a beer, ice cream or candy available in the downtown strip. This place is for the simple minded - it's not a luxurious palace. Again clean, simple and great location.

Just perfect

This house is close to downtown so it was nice to walk down the road to get meals or drinks. The size of the house is more then enough for the bedrooms. The couch and beds are very comfortable. Owners very responsive to messages. We would certainly stay again!

A really nice historic place!

We really enjoyed our 2-night summer stay in this very nice historic property on top of Nob Hill overlooking Philipsburg. The restoration/renovation is still a work in progress, with a bit of work still needed inside and out, more as a facelift than for functionality. But, overall, the house is really well equipped, very clean, safe, comfortable and homey. And for history buffs, you feel like you've stepped back in time to the 1890s, which a lot of what this revitalized community is all about. The place is also a quick walk to business district, as advertised, but is also very quiet at night (the unpaved roads are just fine but people do get around in pickups and OHVs). It may be a wee bit pricey but it is definitely worth it as a comfortable base for a couple or small family to explore this really scenic part of Montana. We look forward to renting it again. And we applaud the owners for restoring a historic building and preserving Montana's cultural heritage.

Very comfortable and a great location.

We were in Philipsburg during the last week in July, and could not have asked for a better stay. The house was very comfortable and the location was great. The owners have done a wonderful job of keeping the original feel of the house, but with all of the updated amenities we can't live without. Sitting on the front porch in the mornings, drinking our coffee while enjoying the beautiful scenery, was a special treat. It was not unusual to see deer, most mornings, passing by the house. We were there during Flint Creek Valley Days which is a 3 day celebration they hold every year, and there were so many activities to enjoy. Philipsburg is a wonderful place to visit and there are so many things to do. I highly recommend visiting the area and staying in this lovely, quaint house. You will not be disappointed! The owner, Dennis, helped to make the experience very enjoyable and easy and we definitely will stay there again. Patricia H.

Charming house with a great view.

We stayed during the Winter Holiday and enjoyed our time skiing at Discovery and exploring the wonderful town on Philipsburg. The location is very close to downtown but perched up on a quiet hill so we didn't hear any noise from town. The view from the front window looked out across the valley to the mountains. This is an old house with all of its original charm. It was warm and cozy with a bright new (well equipped) kitchen and bathroom. At this point there is some work being completed to bring it back to its former glory and the potential is great! Don't judge this book by it's cover, when the work is done it will be a real gem. The owners were great to work with, very honest and accommodating. We look forward to staying here again!
