About this property
Gruesome Gables - Beautiful 5 bedroom summer cottage near Blue Hill Village
Sitting in a beautiful and quiet area of Blue Hill, this large, gracious cottage just minutes from the village is a great choice for a group, large family, or two families vacationing together. Built as a summer cottage in 1885 on Parker Point, the house has been in the same family since the late 1930s. There's a short path to the cove to swim off the rocks at high tide, kayak around the inner harbor, or just relax and enjoy the summer days.
Five bedrooms include two king beds, one queen bed, and 3 twin beds. There is a half bath on the first floor and three full baths on the second floor. The kitchen is well-equipped to cook memorable meals and the large dining table will easily seat 10 people. A large living room provides comfortable seating, and the spacious front porch beckons guests to linger and relax.
Blue Hill, located at the head of the Blue Hill Peninsula, is less than an hour from Acadia National Park, and is a small, vibrant and bustling town with unique shops, many options for eating out, galleries, and music. Visitors to the area enjoy hiking Blue Hill Mountain or one of the many well-maintained hiking trails and exploring all that the area has to offer. Responsible dog owners are welcomed to bring their dog. Rents Sunday to Sunday.
