The complex is centered around a lush tropical courtyard with a large outdoor pool and deck. The deck includes lounge chairs for you to enjoy a day around the pool. There are multiple outdoor grills located on each side of complex as well. In front of Anchorage I and Anchorage II, you will find a playground, memorial park, exercise trail, private walkway to the ocean, outdoor showers and private beach gazebos for our guest to enjoy. Elevators and handicap ramps are located on each side of the complex and are easily accessible. Condos feature full size washer/dryer, flat screen TVs, and high-speed internet. Ample parking is available.

* Please note Anchorage I is a SMOKE FREE building (including private balconies). Renters may smoke in a designated area in the back parking lot (opposite side of ocean)

* No motorcycles, trailers or golf carts allowed on the property

The Anchorage I is located just minutes from Broadway at the Beach, the downtown Boardwalk and Sky Wheel, Myrtle Waves, Barefoot landing, Tanger Outlets, NASCAR Speedpark, live theater’s and shows, golf, and restaurants.

We were disappointed as for the 2nd straight year the elevator was not working and all week. Also the deep end of the pool stairs were marked off with caution tape. Never fixed the whole week.Great stay but not sure we can swing the huge rent increase for next year.

Great get away!

We had such a wonderful week!!! This was our very first time staying at Anchorage 1 and we were pleased. The check-in, the gorgeous updated clean unit (full of everything we needed), the location, the ease of parking, the convenience of a short safe walk to the beach access, grocery stores/restaurants/etc… were all close. We’ve been coming to Myrtle Beach for 11 years now and always stay at friends townhome, so this was a nice change of scenery we needed…we will definitely rent this unit again!!!

I’m extremely picky, but here’s what I have to say:

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Myrtle Beach isn’t a area we typically stay, due to the chaos. I like a more laid back atmosphere. But a last minute trip, we came across this place and decided since it seemed a little closer to N. Myrtle Beach (away from the major chaos) we’d give it a try. Being able to go straight to your room upon arrival and not have to stand in a line to check in was a huge plus for me.(Anchorage emails you the entry codes to room) As I stated above I’m picky, It takes a lot to impress me but our room B13(213) in Anchorage I was so clean. Even the baseboards!! There’s always something that sticks out to me as “dirty” but there was NOTHING.The beds are “ok”,There’s a nice bar style table on the balcony my Grandma enjoyed having her morning coffee and watching the sunrise from.(also gives nice view of the pool) It’s a very small walk to the beach from this unit, there’s only a few stairs to get you to 2nd floor, or elevator that runs so smoothly and they even have a ramp. I’m glad my family came across this place, it’s a small “hidden gem” that I’d definitely recommend and I look forward to staying at in the future. *We had a small maintenance issue upon arrival, I called and they came out and fixed the issue promptly.**If you don’t like noise this isn’t for you. By this I mean people walking in above unit gets loud at times***This unit is privately owned, but when you rent it you’ll receive a “standard” email from Anchorage Rentals, I discovered that some of the things in said email doesn’t pertain to this unit. As in the internet, and the internet customer service number. Let me save you from having to waste a hour of your vacation time, like I did. LOOK on the board hanging in kitchen and it has more specific information pertaining to this unit.That may be something Anchorage Rentals’s need to add

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It’s quiet and away from all of the noises part of the beach. A perfect location for relaxing and enjoy your family. There is plenty of space in the room. Large enough kitchen to cook and have more than one person in the space at once. We had to call the property management twice during the week long stay and they were very quick to respond and resolve the issue. The pool is well maintained and the short walk to the beach is perfect. We have stayed here for several years and plan to come back.

Daughter, husband & grandson were very uncomfortable with the matters they stepped on. Will have to look at more options next yr. like the condo & proximities to our unitbut they can’t sleep on very uncomfortable beds
