About this property
Dusk&Dawn Glass dome glamping accommodation in the bush near Auckland
Experience Auckland glamping. Enjoy this modern unique glass dome accommodation with spectacular views over the city. With heating, WiFi, and AC, guests will feel right at home. Nestled in the bush and 380m above sea level, wake up to the sunrise and with native bird signing.
On a clear day views include Manakau harbour Rangitoto Volcano, parts of Waiheke, the Little Barrier Islands and sometimes even the Coromandel. On a rainy day watch how the Rain cascades down the glass and covers the city. Bright stars can be seen at night in a clear sky,
The Domes are in a residential neighbourhood and not to far from the road. The owners stay on the property as well, in a tiny home about 20m away from the domes. The Domes have a privacy screen and full 360 degree curtains that provide absolute privacy, nestled between massive trees on the sides.
The domes are 3 metres apart and feature a deck between them. Two swinging chairs are fixed on the deck to enjoy the views. One Dome offers a full kitchen, breakfast bar and lounge, whilst the other features a Queen bed and two Chair/Fold out beds for an afternoon nap.
A separate bathroom is located a few steps outside with no cover which contains a Shower and Toilet.
The Domes to get hot in the Summer, but a massive outdoor/underfloor AC unit helps keep the temperature down in the Kitchen unit.
Enjoy various hikes in the Waitakare forest and see Massive kauri's or views over Piha beach, which is also a close 20 minute drive for beach lovers. Enjoy the surf or watch the sun go down on Piha or neighbouring beaches.

About the host
Hosted by Etienne van Huyssteen

Dear Guest, my name is Etienne and my Wife's name is Wiona. We demolished our leaky home and constructed the domes to share the wonderful views from our property with the world. We have 3 kids and a dog, and live in the tiny home at the back of the property. We're friendly and like meeting our guests, or not, depending on your preference. We are passionate about our faith in Jesus Christ, and a portion of this income goes toward the Ministries we are involved in.
Why they chose this property
We just love the Bush. The lush green trees and waking up to the native birds and the fresh air. The views here are spectacular and the photos never quite do it justice.
What makes this property unique
Two double glazed domes, the only ones we know about in New Zealand. Watch the city's lights come on at night, the stars, or rain, or sunrise in the morning, all from your bed.
