Bluff House on Bainbridge Island

LOCATION:
1. modern home in the community of Rolling Bay on Bainbridge Island.
2. sunny side of the island, situated on a bluff overlooking the Sound
3. one of the most encompassing views of the Puget Sound, see the tankers, sailboats, and fishing boats make their journey
4. truly full ocean view location on the bluff, with views of Seattle Space Needle
5. 10 minute drive to the island ferry terminal
6. 10 minute drive to the island store TLC market, and downtown Winslow
7. far from cell phone towers, but you will still have coverage.
8. this location on the island is very private, as the yard and home are gated, and corners the bluff providing the Puget Sound view.
9. Wifi internet, & cable TV are all available, but for those requesting more tech security, or prefer to lower RF radiation, the wifi can be switched off, as the modem is independent, so that direct ethernet cable to computer or tablet can be used as well.


CLEAN:
1. We pay close attention to making sure the home is exceptionally clean and hypoallergenic. We use professional cleaners between guests.
2. This is a true vacation home, it's spacious and peaceful as we use this as our own vacation getaway as well
3. We like five star hotels, we keep the cleanliness to those standards, especially the bedding and furniture.

Incredible view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The view at the home is absolutely incredible. From morning coffee outside watching the sunrise, to a glass of wine or cocktail in the evening, followed by a late night firepit, we couldn’t get enough of the beautiful view. The home is nice and had everything we needed.

Great for family retreat and downtime.

Everything was really fantastic. The home, the setting, the neighborhood, all the activities on the island, the food, the managers input and advice, etc. Beautiful weather didn’t hurt either! Exactly what we were looking for for a family retreat and downtime. We’ll be back!

Can’t beat that view!

We had such a lovely stay in this amazing house! Lucky with the weather too as it was sunny and mild for the whole week. We sat on the back porch and around the fire pit for hours watching the many boats coming and going. House is extremely comfortable and tidy. A welcome basket of local treats was a very nice touch. Loved the area too with a delicious cafe a short walk away and great Italian market/restaurant with fresh house made pastas. We will definitely return!!

Bainbridge Best

We have stayed at this property several times and have had a wonderful experience every time. The location is perfect to explore the island’s many activities. The water views are spectacular for those days when you want to just hang out and enjoy the property. The home is as advertised in the listings and the property owner is super responsible to any questions you Mohave with a team in place to respond to your every needs. The best of magnificent Bainbridge Island

Stunning modern, stylish house with a jaw-dropping view of Puget Sound, Seattle and the Cascade Mountains from the east side of Bainbridge Island. The host has thought of everything from heated floors in the bathroom, to reading glasses, binoculars, and a fully appointed kitchen. Many books, fascinating games for all ages, warm fireplaces. The house exudes a quiet serenity. A short walk to a wonderful market with local food and wine and a top-notch, niche Italian restaurant. There are beach walks and trails nearby as well. Thank you to the lovely hosts. We will be back!

Spectacular View

Short driving distance to most attractions on the island. Loved the 180 degree views of the water from both floors. Loved the heated bathroom floor in the master bedroom. Peaceful, quiet location. Well equipped house. Accessible and responsive property manager. Very nice welcome gifts. Five minute walk to coffee shop. We enjoyed our stay.

Slice of Heaven

Gorgeous. Green, blue, flowers! Birds abound, ships sail the sound. Owner and Property Mgr were timely with their responses including recommendations on Bainbridge. Clear directions to find home, and a helpful binder to explore the island. Their thoughtful welcoming gifts got us off to a delicious start and very nicely complemented the expansive views. We were traveling with our two young adult children and all of us had both space to ourselves within the home, and plenty of room to interact inside and outside in the nicely landscaped yard too. Closet with puzzles and games; ample clean towels and basic supplies in all bathrooms and kitchen. We visited during a full moon and the already stunning views opened to tidal water changes in Puget Sound. Carly's Cafe in Rolling Bay was an enjoyable easy morning walk to fresh coffee and pastries, and Winslow had plenty to offer in food, interesting stores, art, friendly locals. It was an absolutely delightful holiday; wish we could've stayed! Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful spot for six to relax and enjoy the area. The house is well appointed from kitchen to linens - heaters to firepit. My family wants to do it again.

This is a very nicely appointed, well maintained home with lots of aesthetic appeal which we appreciated! The view is simply stunning. It’s a great base to explore Bainbridge Island and was easy to get to from Seattle. The house was perfect for two couples. Beautiful home great location

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The welcoming touches, fresh flowers, groceries, candle and soap were great. The home is absolutely beautiful and the views are breathtaking. Even with some rainy weather the views were still amazing. We enjoyed watching all the freighters, cruise ships, sailboats, … I’m already trying to figure out when we can come back.

Amazing view property on Bainbridge.

We were all blown away by view back towards Seattle and North. Beautiful yard with lots of vocal birds. We were there during rare 100 temps. Lots of cover on deck with extendable cover and inside A/C worked great. Great Nursery and Italian restaurant within blocks and 10 minutes to Winslow.

Bliss on the Sound

This property is truly one of the most unique and special my husband and I have ever rented. The views are absolutely unparalleled, looking north towards Whidbey Island. The location was excellent for the many activities we enjoyed, from catching the ferry to Seattle or hiking in the Olympic National Forest. The property managers were easy to communicate with and responded readily to any concerns. The homeowner kindly ensured that we would be able to bike during covid when no rental bikes were available. Anyone able to rent this home will remember it fondly for the sunsets, the wildlife, the bed comfort, the privacy and the peace. Bainbridge Island is absolutely idyllic and we cannot wait to return to this perfect home again and again.

One of our best VRBO stays ever!

Julie's house and hospitality was the best! The house sits on a portion of the coastline that get the most amazing views and light, morning through sunset. We loved waking up to the morning sun and then enjoying drinks outdoors at sunset. The house works really well, the rooms are separated and there is plenty of privacy as well as space to share time together. We appreciated the welcome note, breakfast provisions and local chocolate that Julie provided as well! Right down the street is the wonderful Via Rosa restaurant, Bay Hay and Feed, and Carly's Rolling Bay Cafe, which served some of the best coffee and pastries we enjoyed during our Pacific Northwest road trip! Of all the many VRBOs we've experienced, Julie's house is one of the very best! A special shout-out to Deborah and Andrea, who help manage the property. They were instantly responsive and available when needed! We look forward to returning to Bainbridge Island and Julie's house!!

It is a sweet blend of Seattle city access, alongside the privacy of small town living. The people make the island what it embodies, a return to a quieter place and slower pace of living.

Why they chose this property

This private community sits atop one of the higher elevations on the island. As far as the eye can see, there are ocean and city skyline views. The views are enhanced by the floor to ceiling windows that dominate the living room and master bedroom. Awaken to spectacular sunlight reflecting off the rippling ocean currents, and relax as you watch the lull of sailboats and natural ocean life that speckle the the expanse of the glassy sea. You will spend most of your time on the deck and by the fire at night enjoying the changing hues of the sky over Puget Sound.

What makes this property unique

This home is the perfect place for family gatherings, outdoor enthusiasts, or a couples getaway. It brings families together, puts us in awe of nature's beauty and calms the spirit. It is situated within walking distance to Manitou Beach by walking Manitou Beach drive and a second beach access is accessible to Gertie Johnson Road to reach Roling Bay.
Morning coffee is within a 10 minute walk to Rolling Bay Cafe, which serves sublime coffee and wonderful breakfast pastries. Via Rosa is also within walking distance, you'll find daily fresh made pasta and sauces and chat with Pino, this is not to be missed, the pasta is amazing.
