One of the worst short term rental experiences I’ve had

Our stay here was unsatisfactory! The management company that oversees this property was very disorganized and unhelpful. To start, it took them over 24 hours after accepting the booking on the VRBO platform to “review” and accept the booking on their end. This meant that despite VRBO showing the booking as accepted, they were unable to confirm to us that the booking had been finalized until I called them and VRBO customer support multiple times on the day of check-in. We were also not given check-in instructions until 30 minutes after the listed check-in time. Once we were given the instructions, we were told that the property was still being cleaned and that the keys had not been put back in the lockbox so there was still no way for us to access the unit. Eventually the house keeper let us in, but she had not finished preparing the unit. About an hour and a half after our check-in time the cleaning was finished, and we were finally given the keys needed to access the property. We were also not given the WiFi information, despite our many attempts to ask the management company about it, they couldn’t give us the correct information. Turns out, the property didn’t have a modem and router installed yet, and we were without WiFi for the first 4 days of our stay. Despite communicating with several different people about this (including VRBO support), no one cared how bad of an experience we were having. I do not recommend this property.
