Adorable property in a great location
We had a great time at this cozy, homey A-frame. Although it is a smallish space, the layout was great and we had plenty of room for our family of four plus a pair of grandparents. The location was ideal, an easy jaunt into town and a very quick drive to Mt. Rainier National Forest. Can’t wait to come back!

Planned time for my son to see his grandma. We enjoyed the time spent talking and cooking old recipes together. The fire place worked well and the weather as expected. Nice place to have some privacy and relaxation.

Cozy house with plenty to do
It was a pleasure staying here with my family while we were visiting Mt. Rainier. The location is wonderful, and there was plenty to do inside the house. The house is right up against the woods and there is a nice porch area to hang out.

Stay here
This location is perfect for being in the woods without the miles or seclusion that a great escape would typically offer! We could have stayed a week and been comfortable and within easy distance to everything we needed. Thank you to the hosts for keeping a charming alpine lodge available for families to gather!

Very Nice Place to Stay
Overall a very nice cabin/cottage. Great location close to everything in the area. Everything was clean and the house was stocked with anything you need. I would like to go again in the winter to get that experience. The only suggestion I would make is it would be create to have a couple screen doors on the front and side doors to allow a cross breeze to cool the place down on a hot day. There is no washer/drier in the house and no laundromats within 30-40 minutes drive so have adequate clean clothes for your stay. Same thing for any needed pharmacy supplies.

Great Get-Away Cabin
Really nice stay in the cute A-frame cabin, tucked in the woods. Not totally secluded, but a very quiet neighborhood. The inside of the cabin was well stocked - plenty of towels, kitchen utensils, blankets, pillows, bathroom accessories. I personally loved the dark wood interior, but it wasn't totally dark and there is plenty of interior lighting. It is cozy and as mentioned by other reviewers, tall folks would not be comfortable upstairs. The outside space was nice, with fire pit, awesome table and chairs, good BBQing, and stocked with firewood. The location was perfect for heading to Packwood for a beer or groceries, or Rainier National Park. We spent two days hiking in the park and relaxed every evening outside at the fire pit. We stay again and recommend to our friends and family.

Great place and perfect location to stay and visit Mount Rainier National Park
Wonderful property. I recommend you mention the one bunk is not easy to use due to the slant of the roof. My 9 year-old was not able to sleep in it due to lack of head space and ability to turn on her side other than on the front quarter of the bed. Since we only have the 4 of us, she slept in a lower bunk. You may also want to mention the low ceiling height. My husband is 6'4" and had to duck under the beams on the first floor in the kitchen. All in all wonderful place and we loved staying on this side of the park for easier access to see Paradise, Longmire and Sunrise areas of Mount Rainier. Your cleaner may not be vacuuming the 2nd floor. We found Cheeto crumbs on the bunk room floor.

Great mountain cabin!
This is a great cabin for folks wanting to stay close to Mt Rainier. The cabin is in a cul de sac and has a secluded feel to it. The kitchen is well stocked and the rooms are tight but comfy. The absence of a washer and dryer does make it harder to do laundry if you are staying for a long stretch of time.

Cozy, clean comfortable
Overall, my family of 8 loved living our mini vacation near Rainier. We stayed for 2 nights and explored various parts of Griffin Pinot forest and Rainer NP in 3 days and came back to this cozy quiet place. The kitchen was fully stocked with all tools and enough clean beddings for all. Kids loved the bunkbeds. The only inconvenience we had was with one of our Electric car as the charging cable couldnt reach a usable socket outside. Rest was great. Neighborhood very quiet but it could be that we were here on weekdays Wed-Fri

Packwood Chalet
Proximity to Ranier Nat'l Park the biggest plus. Cabin comfy, but dark as A frames tend to be. If you are over 6'3" tall might find head clearance an issue. But clean & as I said only a few miles from SE entrance to World Class National Park. Any shortcomings with cabin are overidden by the beauty & majesty of its location. Sorry we didn't have more time there. Also owners very nice, helpful & patient.

Great cozy cabin to return to after a long day of skiiing. Beds were super comfy.
It was a nice cabin to relax at in a great location. Very easy direction with every part of the cabin and have to mention, great neighbors as well. Loved the layout, even though is was not a super huge cabin, it felt bigger than it was. I would definitely rent it all over again. We loved it!!! Thanks for a great time. Carlo Chavez
